Colorado sets the gold standard for election security in the nation. We don't need federal overreach that will only succeed in making it harder for Coloradans and those across the country to register and cast their ballot. The SAVE America Act is a radical piece of legislation that the Senate must reject.

Let's be clear: the so-called "SAVE America Act" will disenfranchise American citizens. The right to vote is a bedrock principle of any democracy. We cannot let this bill pass.

Donald Trump's interference in our election systems is about benefiting his party and himself.   We cannot allow him to make it harder for eligible Americans to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

I've gotten questions about the SAVE America Act — an unprecedented voter suppression bill Republicans are trying to brand as a simple "voter ID requirement." That is NOT what it is. The SAVE America Act would disenfranchise ~69 MILLION American women. Watch me break it down:

Republicans are claiming their bill keeps noncitizens from voting. That's a lie. It's about stopping CITIZENS from voting. It should be renamed the Stop Citizens from Voting Act, or "STOP ACT" for short. Every Senator should be a HELL NO on this bill.
