We need to have an honest conversation about the Callais decision, the state of voting rights, and where we go from here. One thing I know for sure — I'm done with this court. Their corruption. The lifetime appointments that protect them. Their abuse of power has to end.

Our president and CEO @MayaWiley said it best: "SPLC has been targeted by extremists and their supporters for years — not because it is dangerous, but because it is effective. Today it is @SPLCenter. But in a sense, we are all SPLC." - #DissentIsNotACrime

Why is the @splcenter being attacked? @mayawiley breaks it down: Because it fights for Black voters in Alabama & Louisiana. Because it exposes gerrymandered maps designed to "pack or crack" Black communities. Because it gives people power to dissent from this administration.

That’s officially 0-8 for the DOJ, folks. We are going to keep fighting to protect your personal identifying information.

To hold onto power, Donald Trump and Republicans are trying to silence Black voters. This is all part of their plan.

The Voting Rights Act did not come out of nowhere. It came out of a long history of legislated discrimination.

The Supreme Court is supposed to be impartial. Instead, we’ve seen justices cozy up to political figures, face allegations of financial wrongdoing, and hand Trump the power he needs to push his agenda. Ken’Travius is right: accountability is missing.

Nothing could be more important than passing the Voting Rights Advancement Act. It must be priority number one.
