Today, I had the pleasure of receiving members of the House of Representatives who recently decamped to the NDC. They paid a courtesy visit to interact with me and the leadership of our party. We were also delighted to have in attendance, first, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and later, His Excellency Peter Obi, who joined us. I thank them for their support for the party and for the loyalty they demonstrated in following their leader to the NDC. They are on the right course, and the NDC remains committed to building a united and democratic Nigeria for all. I urged them to continue to uphold the democratic rights of the Nigerian people and to resist every attempt to entrench a one-party state in our country. They should remain steadfast in supporting the party while continuing to work closely with their leaders and constituents in service to the people. I also received my former colleague from Gombe State, Senator Col. Amos Bulus (Rtd), and his team, who joined us from the APC. In the same vein, Prince Yahaya Audu led a delegation from Kogi State and was warmly received. It was a pleasure for His Excellency Peter Obi to join me in welcoming Col. Bulus, Prince Audu, and their team members into the NDC family. We also received the donation of a vehicle from the Delta State chapter of the NDC. I thank the donors, as well as all those who, since the launch of this party, have continued to support the NDC through various donations and contributions. May God replenish their resources abundantly. I also call on other Nigerians of goodwill to continue to support the party. The NDC is not funded by any single individual or by any government. Our party is sustained by the sacrifice, commitment, and contributions of members and supporters who believe in our vision for a better Nigeria. ~HSD

NDC the supposed party that is for Nigerians is selling presidential form for sixty million naira; That's N60m for a party that is considered for everyday people. So you expect a candidate who pays N60m for just nomination form (minus campaigns), and will earn just N 1.5m as a sitting president to be credible. Be serious.

“Let me be very blunt this morning: Atiku Abubakar is highly hypocritical. When zoning favours him, he has no problem with it. But when it doesn’t favour him, he suddenly declares zoning self-defeating.” “They should all leave Mr Peter Obi alone, the man have not done anything wrong by going to another party.” — Rufai Oseni. To be candid, In the last 30 years of Nigerian politics, There is NO Nigerian politician as shameless, slimy and utterly devoid of any integrity as Atiku. I agree totally with Rufai Oseni on this.

This is an open challenge to all supporters of @PeterObi and the @Obidients Mention 15 major projects he initiated, executed, completed, and that are still actively in use from his time as governor. In return, I can point out 20 projects started by @ChibuikeAmaechi during his tenure as governor that are still serving the public today. Let’s compare records based on visible projects, infrastructure, and lasting impact, not just sentiments or media hype. TAKE NOTE 📝.................... This is not an insult to @PeterObi or his supporters. It is a simple call for facts. I did not add @ChibuikeAmaechi as minister in this comparison. I am comparing both men strictly based on their time as governors. So I challenge supporters of Peter Obi: mention 15 major projects he initiated, executed, completed, and that are still actively serving the public from his years in Anambra State. In return, I can mention 20 projects started by Rotimi Amaechi during his tenure in Rivers State that are still visible and serving the people today. Bring facts. Bring proof. Bring results. Bring evidence. Let us compare records based on visible projects, infrastructure, and lasting impact, and then Nigerians can judge who has shown stronger capacity to lead Nigeria.

On this World Nurses Day, I would like to take a moment to appreciate all the nurses and midwives in our dear nation, who occupy a very special place and play very critical roles in our health sector. As one who has been on the vanguard of investing in our critical sectors of human and national development, I have always maintained that you, our dear nurses, are the heart of our health sector. Over the years, I have traversed different corners of our nation supporting different schools and colleges of nursing and midwifery because I understand the inevitable role you play in our healthcare delivery. As you mark this special day, I wish to, firstly, thank you for all your efforts and sacrifices. Your compassion, sacrifice, and resilience keep our nation alive. And secondly, I wish to encourage you not to relent in your service to humanity. Nigerian nurses work under some of the toughest conditions with dignity and courage. From physical and mental stress to high patient-to-nurse ratios, to lack of equipment and poor working environments, your resilience keeps our health sector going. And beyond the shores of the nation, our nurses have continued to make exploits on the global stage. From leading the next generation research in nursing practice to championing excellence in clinical practice—many Nigerian nurses have written their names on the sands of time and lifted our national banner high. I celebrate you all. My firm commitment to you all remains this — we will build a New Nigeria where your hard work and sacrifices will never go unnoticed. We will invest in your education and training to ensure that you remain competitive on the global stage. Happy World Nurses Day to you all. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO
