In Manhattan today and no one wears bit loafers anymore. No Gucci loafers, not even Allen Edmonds. All just shoes & comfy dress shoes. What happened to the game I love?

@junkbondinvest Every broker I talked to said these tickets were actually way overpriced at face and wanted to short them. @ScottFriedman3 thoughts?

Eagle Point lent 100% of cost against World Cup tickets. The thesis: tickets trade at 3x face value so real LTV is 35%.

IS THE NYC DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ALTERNATIVES NOW DESIGNING STREETS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO BREAK THE LAW? 1. If a business on 72nd Street needs a delivery, are all other vehicles including the M72 bus expected to sit behind a parked truck until it’s done? Or are drivers effectively being pushed to cross a double yellow line (strict no passing), in violation of the law, risking head-on conflicts just to keep traffic moving? 2. The rolling 12 month average speed of the M72 bus is 6.0MPH according to the MTA. Will other vehicles be forced to wait behind this lightning fast bus while it picks up and discharges passengers including those with mobility limitations requiring extra time? According to the Tri-State Transportation Campaign, the median age for a bus only rider is significantly higher than other means of transport. At what point does “street design” become a system that only functions if people violate traffic law? It's a good time to remember that the NYC DOT is a failing agency with deteriorating benchmarks according to the city's own data as its been captured by idealogues and fetishists. Placing it on federal receivership and purging the anti-mobility advocates would be a means to ending this insanity.

🚴A safer crosstown connection is coming to 72nd St. We’re proposing a two-way protected bike lane linking Central Park to the Hudson River and East Side Greenways. This redesign would shorten crossing distances and improve safety for all. Learn more: bit.ly/3Q3slZ9

@NYC_DOT I understand wanting to add bike lanes but we can’t have all this dead space on every avenue and major cross street. You can easily fit two more lanes there.

BBG on the new $1B Mandarin project in Miami: The building’s two penthouses recently sold for $50 million apiece before the implosion even occurred, and years before construction is slated for completion in 2030. Getting a little grabby? @partners_road

This is insane. A New York City police officer conducted a drug bust on a known criminal. The criminal tried to flee the scene on a scooter, so the officer deployed a non-lethal weapon (threw a cooler at him) in an honest attempt to stop the suspect. The suspect died, which is unfortunate, but now the officer has been sentenced to 3-9 years in prison. That alone would be ridiculous. The judge took it a step further and explicitly said the aggressive sentence was meant to be a deterrent to other police officers. For what? For stopping criminals from committing crimes? The hardworking men and women of the NYPD deserve better than this. They risk their lives every day to protect innocent citizens from drugs and violent criminals. Activist judges who abuse their position of power over politics should be removed from office as well.

I have been briefed on an incident that occurred at Grand Central Station this morning. Reports indicate a man slashed three people on the platform with a machete. Officers shot the man when he did not drop the machete. He has since been pronounced dead. I’m grateful to the NYPD for their quick response and for preventing additional violence. The three victims were taken to the hospital and are thankfully in stable condition. The NYPD is conducting an internal investigation and will release body-worn camera footage, as it does in all incidents involving the discharge of an officer's firearm.

Another all time low for @StubHub today. Market cap now at $2 billion. 8 months ago they had market cap that reached 8.6 billion on a stock price of $27.89. This is what happens, when you scam fans and resellers daily. Wait until you see what comes out in near future… $Stub

@BillClinton @MarkHalperin Bill playing the victim card in his statement. Statistically, Children who witness or experience abuse are more likely to perpetrate abuse as adults, compared to those who grew up in non-abusive households. But I’m sure he’s an anomaly

As someone who grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I not have flown on his plane if I had any inkling of what he was doing—I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals.

2024 I did not vote Trump. I voted Bloomberg/Romney. Trump SOTU was a MASTERCLASS in political theater + branding. Somebody had told me he needs to own ICE/Minnesota or he's done. He did way better 1 the parade of medal ceremonies 2 the emotional guests (many minorities or legal immigrants) were smart 3 GENIUS popular common sense ideas (protecting citizens vs illegal aliens, voter ID, keep violent criminals locked up, parents rights on gender transitions) he knew Dems couldn't stand + applaud+ he got DEVASTATING viral video clips and midterm attack ads Dems made a bitter self-destructive deranged spectacle of themselves + rebuilt GOP brand
