I wonder what the hundreds of wrongly-convicted postmasters think of all this fooling around by Ed Davey, the former postal minister. If I were still a TV reporter I'd take a few appalling-treated postmasters to the next Davey stunt and see what they think. Amazing what short memories journalists sometimes have.

Except they haven’t brought business back. The letter supposedly showing support from business has unravelled less than 24 hrs later. 🔴Signed mainly by *former* business people, lobbyists and, in some cases, bosses of now dormant companies! 🔴One individual claims to be a professor, based on an honorary degree from Uzbekistan 😂 I recall he left the Conservatives after being rejected as a candidate. 🔴This is why I say Labour is not a serious party. 🔴The signatories claim Labour will bring change. Yes, they will…change for the WORSE! 🔵Conservatives don’t need fake professors when we have real policies.

Our plan is working - crime is falling. Since 2010: ⬇️ Violent crime is down 51% ⬇️ Neighbourhood crime is down 48% ⬇️ Theft is down 46% We will stick to the plan to keep the British people safe. Labour will just take us back to square one.

Incredible result. The Conservatives haven’t won even 10% of the vote in the ward for 30 years. So to get over *50%* is remarkable.

From today, 27 million working people will pay less tax. It’s taken tough decisions to get to a place where we can cut tax responsibly but as soon as we could, we have. Conservatives believe in low taxes. If we can go further this year, responsibly and sustainably, we will.

Well, now that the official stats have been revised independently, an up-to-date G7 league table shows this: the UK lagged behind only the fast-growing North American economies of the US and Canada. It has outperformed Europe’s three major economies — Germany, France and Italy, as well as Japan — since the pandemic. Who wudda thunk it?!
