They signed Nico Gonzalez for £65m in 2025 January window just because Rodri got injured, he wasn’t good enough, and they binned him. They signed Reijnders last summer for £70m, used him for a few games, he wasn’t good enough, they binned him instantly. Now they’re about to sign Elliot Anderson for £100m. That’s close to £250m spent on a single position in the space of a year, no other club has that kind of financial luxury. This is what Arsenal are up against, financial cheats with endless pool of blood money. All their trophies are asterisked in my eyes.
Fabrizio Romano@FabrizioRomano

🚨 Manchester City are prepared to make a very important financial proposal to Elliot Anderson, leading the race as revealed since March. Manchester United still attentive and keen if Man City deal won’t happen. Nothing advanced with Forest yet. 🎥 youtu.be/3Ig8tR8OcHs

@Bunny_ngl I love these tweets, like people have kids for the "perks" If one of my colleagues wants to leave work when my kid had spewed and shit all over themselves in nursery then crack on.

Ladies and gentlemen of the Ton, we request the pleasure of your Companie at a pod-ball in honour of her Lady Simone of Ashley, to gavotte and dine on the finest viands, with sparkling conversation & free-spirited repartee about the Nettephlicks Tele-romance Bridgerton, acting alongside the illustrious and eligible Jonathan Bailey, their scandalous on-screen Chemistrie, how they committed osculation together & the coordination thereof, & sundrie other Subjecktes, like why characters on that programme are Alwayes saying “indeed”. You may find us at Spottifie or wherever one finds one’s Poddecastes. The whole of the Ton will indeed be there, as will, Yr very humble servant, etc.

Think it's kinda silly to think otherwise. Of course Rory had an advantage. She left public school because her grandparents paid for Chilton. They then also paid for her to go to Yale which opened up many more doors for her. Yes Rory worked hard, but obviously had an advantage.
Eric Patterson@EPatGolf

The "Rory had an unfair advantage" discourse may be the most insane I've seen on this app. If you utter those words or believe it to be true, you just don't get it

I'll never forget working a Miranda Hart gig back in 2014 & the staff got briefed by management not to look at/speak to her, so everyone started calling her Miranda Carey 💀
sᴜᴘᴇʀ ᴛᴠ@superTV247

🚨 A new name has been ‘secretly in talks’ with BBC producers to take over from Claudia Winkleman on #Strictly - and it’s Miranda Hart. They reportedly believe her comedy would be a perfect fit for the show, talking to contestants and judges, alongside the ‘main’ host.

Sorry @philiplord and @chrizmillr I cannot, in good conscious, support #projecthailmary after Andy Weir went on a stream with noted chud Critical Drinker. For years this man has tried to destroy everything that you guys stand for, and to give him a pass like that is a bridge too far.

@edgarwabwire_ This take is wild to me. He was distraught afterwards, also if he was going to miss on purpose why play it straight into the keepers hands allowing them to launch an immediate counter attack. Surely you'd blast it wide or over the bar and allow your team to get set.

Morocco’s Brahim Díaz taking a Panenka was a deliberate act of sportsmanship, a conscious decision to miss the penalty after the referee had already ruined the match by wrongly denying Senegal a legitimate goal. In that moment, both Sadio Mané and Díaz helped restore dignity and respect to African football. The sight of Senegalese players walking off toward the dressing room could have been disastrous for the tournament, but their restraint and Díaz’s gesture helped defuse a situation that was spiraling out of control.
