Susanna Reid, "Hannah Spencer, winner for the Green party in Denton and Gorton moved you to tears" Carol Vorderman, "Yes" Susanna Reid, "I remember a time you were campaigning for Labour" Carol Vorderman, "No, I was never campaigning for Labour. Do you remember 18 months ago we had a 2 party system?" "I was part of a huge tactical voting website called Stop The Tories, now stopreformuk.vote and along with another tactical voting website, over 6 million people typed their postcodes in, and that was directly responsible for stopping the Tories" "The Tories had the lowest number of MPs in their almost 400 year history, and I'm very happy about that" "Labour have thrown it away" Ed Balls, "What upsets you the most when you say Labour have thrown it away" Carol Vorderman, "Because they have e.g. the ridiculous announcement for the Winter Fuel Allowance, they went in so low" "We wanted them to stop corruption. Stop MPs from having 18 jobs. To stop foreign donations" Susanna Reid, "What do you say to people who say you should put your money where you mouth is and stand in Clacton" Carol Vorderman, "Why would I stand in Clacton?" Susanna Reid, "Against Nigel Farage and stop him. Do you think you could get enough votes in?" Carol Vorderman, "I don't live in Clacton, I'm not even sure I know if Nigel Farage knows how to spell it" "He's yet to have a surgery since the election" "Nigel Farage spent 140 working days doing other things" Ed Balls, "You are thinking of standing?" Carol Vorderman, "I would say I'm independent" "I think Farage is a total charlatan" "Farage is privately educated, he mixes with billionaires" "Hannah Spencer is very honest on how the money has been taken from the working class and given to the rich" "Farage is like a poundland Trump. Trump says fake news on a Monday, Farage says it on a Tuesday" Susanna Reid, "Would you stand as an MP? I've been asked so many times. I wouldn't say no now"

@inHighburyN5 You're annoyed that a journalist is reporting that some football fans aren't being gouged? Weird...

Its beginning to look more and more like the media has been paid for their silence on the outstanding charges of financial doping hanging over Man City. Journalists, commentators and pundits wax lyrical about the club for hour after hour but the charges never, ever get mentioned.

Kudos to Manchester City for freezing ticket prices following consultations with fans. Shows the importance of engaging with fans’ networks like City Matters. Kudos to @BroadstockLee @citymattersreps @WeAre1894. City have listened to fans which not enough clubs do. City are a wealthy club, it’s good PR, but it’s also the right thing to do. Fans bring the noise, the atmosphere, the mood boosts for players. Fans bring the backdrop that TV pays billions for. Clubs should show respect to fans and be measured in ticketing policies, especially given economic pressures on fans. City say they have “taken the approach in recognition of the extraordinary accumulated impact of the current cost of living pressures on fans and their families”. Still issues like those loyal fans being moved to accommodate corporates (club currently emailing fans of details). But, overall, City deserve praise. The introduction of 4,000 “Flexi-Season Tickets”, with 50% ringfenced for juniors, should definitely be welcomed. They are the future. Simplifying the ticket transfer policy makes sense and is fairer. “Fans will be able to list up to 18 friends and family, regardless of membership status, and can do this at any point throughout the season if they are unable to attend a match”. Makes it easier to hit the 10 mandatory games. Fans’ group 1894 “welcomes today's announcement from the club which is in direct contrast to other clubs in the Premier League who have been raising their match ticket and season ticket prices. It is undoubtedly a win for the fans and a vindication for the benefits of collective action across the fan base”. Main points of City announcement below... 👇 #MCFC

I was listening to a Neville/Walker interview and one segment showed how narrative can be far away from reality. Because KDB is fantastic and played for a very good team under Pep, Gary Neville just assumed that KDB was great receiving on the half turn and turning to play passes. Because that’s how top midfielders in the past played. Walker completely shut him down. Walker said something interesting that hardly anyone talks about in public media. Walker said that Pep hates players receiving on the half turn in the meddle of the pitch. Only player who was allowed to do this under Pep was Silva. Not even KDB was allowed. Walker challenged Gary to find more than 20 clips in a season where KDB would be receiving on the half turn and turning with the ball. This is Gary Neville, who is employed by big media outlets and commentates and talks about football professionally. Just shows how narratives and perceptions dominate football discussion. Not many are willing to do think independently and do their research.

NEW: NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani 'fact checks' MS NOW after he was asked about the 19 deaths from the recent snowstorm, says a number of them were actually overdose deaths. MS NOW: "19 outdoor deaths. 19 That's a really high number ..." Mamdani: "So as of now, we have no deaths reported from this blizzard from being outside or in a public area... A number of those New Yorkers who lost their lives, the preliminary indications came that it was from an overdose-related death."

This is the most ruthless act of union busting in the history of the UK games industry. Yesterday, @RockstarGames fired over 30 employees for union activity. We won't back down, and we're not scared - we will fight for every member to be reinstated.

#ManCity have won the race to sign Hearts’ Keir McMeekin, bringing him to the club after he turns 16 next year. McMeekin also took in a Manchester United game at Old Trafford and met Sir Alex Ferguson, but @ManCity emerged as the most attractive proposition. [via @HeartsStandard_]

A strong spine is a non-negotiable to be in contention to win the Premier League, but possessing both the best striker and best goalkeeper in the league goes a considerable way towards gaining a psychological edge. In Erling Haaland and Gianluigi Donnarumma, Manchester City are top and tailed by arguably the best in their positions in the country. Some would claim the world. And they proved as much at Brentford. 📝 @JordanC1107 🔗 nytimes.com/athletic/66913…

Daniel Levy on #ManCity's 115 charges: "It would be really unfair of me to talk about another club in the Premier League, all I'd say is it's going through a process which I think has gone on for far too long. "It needs to be brought, for the good of the game, to a conclusion one way or another. It's unfortunate we haven't been able to resolve things internally rather than the recourse of the lawyers, who are earning a lot of money out of this..." [via @WeAreTheOverlap]
