Don't know where to start unpicking that game last night, but this was ludicrous from Chessum. Heading for the posts is one of the first things drilled into you as a young kid.

@tony_calvin The first thing you are taught is to ensure you score the try. Getting under the posts is a bonus. He should have got closer of course but the angle of his run in the first instance was away from the defender which was correct

In a game where Eng didnt default to the box kick after every breakdown it is ironic that they have just lost because with 2 mins to go, winning....they box kick the ball back to Fra. I have no words......

What a great game of rugby. Congrats to @FranceRugby. I thought England played much better than last three games. There was a lot of good attacking rugby and physicality. Was surprised with around two mins to go and we were playing against 14, why did we box kick it ? Henry pollock should have held onto the ball rather than offloading. Discipline needs to improve. Hope @EnglandRugby bring this intensity and attack into the nations championship 🙏

@BenBradford5 They should have won that- no two ways about it. Several opportunities to secure the game in the last few minutes and they bottled it

Absolutely gutted but proud of the performance. Was predicting us to get swept aside! Tough decisions to be made - this type of performance needs to be the norm rather than the exception, is Borthwick the man to lead this team into the world cup next year? I'm not sure. #FRAvENG

@TerracerSouth Yes it looks bad… but most tries arrive about 10 minutes after the fatigue starts. The dam doesn’t burst immediately. When it does, you see this: In that moment bad defence.

Don’t love Borthwick. Hate the kicking game. BUT it’s not his fault when players can’t catch/tackle/pass. Piss poor all round. Really let down by first 50. Unreal mentality if they can turn it around.

@OnCallPaul @RugbyInsideLine It was an awful choice. They were turning the screw on Scotland and had them camped in their own 22. They were also 11 points down, so the drop goal wouldn't have even brought them within a converted try. Just a bizarre decision

@RugbyInsideLine The kick wasn’t an awful choice, but the execution was poor, and it was telegraphed: all the rest of the backs were flat and static giving no suggestion of anything other than a DG attempt. It looked tired in body and mind.

🌹 This is even worse to watch this morning. Watch every single England player in this clip, and not sure you can find a single one doing their job properly. At best, it's just horribly lazy.

@ChrisCollins248 Scotland are a nation we should always be beating based on the massive gulf in resources. We certainly shouldn't be losing as often as we are against them. Today was worse than Fiji as the squad is much stronger than it was then- back in 2023 it was a mess

@LiamHandCoach This is worse in a sense of having EVERYTHING go against us, but us losing to fiji was straight up embarrasing and showed that we truly are a spreadsheet team who got turned over by a nation we should always be beating, but.. such is the beauty of sport
