Unbelievable! Disposable barbecues need banning.
Only two weeks ago a giant fire ripped through nearly 3 acres of reed beed at Pegwell Bay (SSSI) today people are out there in the restricted area with a disposable barbecue!

GPs in England are launching collective action TODAY, after our GP committee voted that Government proposals don’t go far enough.
We’re taking action on data sharing agreements, because policy proposals have not gone far enough to convince GPs that the profession will be protected.

At the top end of the sanctuary we have a right of way along a neighbouring field to the road that runs through the local village. We walk our youngest to school this way.
The field was sprayed a number of weeks back to ‘prepare’ the ground for ploughing, harrowing etc.

"Southern Water admits sewage pollution which occurred weeks after record fine."
In 2021 Southern Water was fined £90,000,000 for illegally dumping sewage into the environment on almost 7,000 separate occasions.
They have now also admitted that for the following 2 years they kept on illegally dumping sewage into Swalecliffe Brook in Whitstable and Faversham Creek causing fish kills and widespread devastation.
Can someone explain to me why the CEO and directors aren't going to jail for this?

This is Whyburn Farm Misk Hills in Nottinghamshire Lord Byron wrote about these Hills of Annesley. Alan Sillitoe wrote about his character Arthur Seaton escaping to these hills from factory. Developers have been given permission to build over 300 houses on this land where Buzzards, Red Kites & Deer live. None of the proposed housing are affordable to a population who earn on average 28k

The basic tenets of a healthcare system is to reduce mortality where possible, improve quality of life
And this is where the UK is at.
Worth many holding relevant roles to reflect on that one.
For absolute shame who push policy- and don't have the humility to reverse when they see results harming the population you serve.

If you haven't read this report from @IPPR -do find time The basic tenets of a healthcare system is to reduce mortality where possible, improve quality of life And this is where the UK is at. I will repeat. Flooding a system with lesser trained people in a healthcare system with light touch regulation and nominal supervision costs lives. And we are here now- based on the hubris of a few leading workforce plans for the last decade or so. Still time to change course. @wesstreeting @lengreview @DHSCgovuk

@CommunityPlann1 @planitpres @theTCPA The "new towns" chosen by the Government are a weird mixture of urban regeneration schemes which aren't new towns in any sense at all, plus the hugely destructive new settlement at Tempsford and huge further sprawl on farmland NE of MK.

Well, well. No surprise here that the Tory shadow SoS for housing lacks all ambition. Unlike @michaelgove who is creative and an out of the box thinker, @JamesCleverly can’t imagine housing outside of already crowded and expensive cities. The party that once gave us a property owning democracy, and centred on family, now offers nothing to the next generation except high rents and stagnation. Can’t afford a home? Go live in a box on a brownfield please.
