@BullandBaird I used to build in crypto when it was about solving real problems. Since the push toward “agentic acceleration” led by Jesse Pollak, especially on Base, the space is flooded with low-effort, disposable apps.Lower barriers didn’t improve innovation, they just scaled noise.

@FranzGarmer @imperatorprymus @HistoryLegends_ @elonmusk Friendly reminder: the original comment was, “To play devil’s advocate here, should French speakers be bilingual to hold the same standard for people?”
I’m responding to that. I never said Canadians shouldn’t be treated equally.

@LibekFi @imperatorprymus @HistoryLegends_ @elonmusk Mate, people from villages in the third world speak English now because it's lingua franca.
It's not an effort anymore.
All Canadians should be treated equally wether they speak French, English or both.

Dear @elonmusk, the reality is that Air Canada CEO should have resigned a long time ago 🇨🇦
1) Quebec officials have been complaining him for years for his complete inability to speak French as the CEO of Air Canada, where bilingualism is required, and despite the company being headquartered in Montreal, Quebec.
2) In Quebec, the official language is French. It's the law and the core part of the province's identity. Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau has lived in Quebec for 20 years, and never made the effort to learn French. This strikes a sensitive nerve for many Quebecers, as it reflects a broader pattern seen among many newcomers in the province who remain unable or unwilling to integrate and speak French.
3) Since his appointment as CEO of Air Canada in 2019, despite "taking lessons", he has not achieved basic proficiency for public statements. Nobody is asking for him to become fluent, but French Canadians are disappointed that he didn't even make the effort to read off a pre-written text in French.
4) One of the two pilots that died, Captain Antoine Forest, is from Quebec, and it's disrespectful to his family that the condolences message was only said in English.
5) Another factor that triggered French Canadians is that ironically, his last name Rousseau is of French heritage. This touched on a profound and longstanding fear: the gradual erosion and disappearance of their language and culture in their own homeland.
