@ClaudioKuenzler Disabling DRMPRIME hardware decoding is more of a workaround than a fix and also disables H264 which works fine. With time you'll find SD/720p HEVC is no problem software decoded but 1080p is a little too much for an S905. LE11+ is 100% new kernel/drivers vs LE9 hence differences

When @LibreELEC 11 with #Kodi Nexus was released last year, I was stoked to find my old #Wetek Play 2 in the image list. But I soon ran into issues with #H265 encoded videos and gave up on the device. Until yesterday, when I finally found a fix! 🥳

@geerlingguy @thefossguy @flirc Most of our testing has been done with a bare board (no fans/heatsink) and at 1080p everything plays; and without CPU being noticeable.
English

@thefossguy @LibreELEC @flirc It's all software for H.264 now, but runs great using maybe 20-30% CPU. Just enough to get the fan spinning low after a while, but nothing more.
Didn't test AV1 yet, but I imagine 1080p should be fine. 4K could choke higher bitrate AV1 or VP9.

Testing @LibreELEC nightly build for Raspberry Pi 5 — 4K30 works fine, so does 1080p H.264. Also tried out @flirc USB and fell in love. Going to be using this a lot more.

@chriva404 @LibreELEC @flirc Supposedly native 4K60 HEVC, but I haven't yet tested that. The launch blog post mentions it but I don't know if they meant 'it is tested and working' or not yet: libreelec.tv/2023/09/28/rpi…
