Just a reminder that Protestants like Aaron Shaff literally have 0 Christians they would be in communion with during the first 1400 years of Christianity. The entire Protestant movement is based on the notion that for 1500 years essentially every Christian got it wrong. Protestants of all people should recognize that human beings are fallible.

@realDrTT Luke 22:35-37. “And if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!” 1 Timothy 5:8 “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” You have a God given right to protect yourself.

@BardofLagrandil @LargeInStature_ @jkdavis89 @ImprecatoryOne By that logic, Abraham and Isaac are one being since a singular name is used for both of them in Gen 48:16 In both cases, "name" is used to reference shared authority. Jesus in the verse right before yours talks about the authority that was GIVEN to him by the Father(his God)

@LargeInStature_ @jkdavis89 @ImprecatoryOne Except for him teaching the trinity. One name (Koine is number soecific) and that One name is "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." If it were separate entities it would have been plural not singular.

Mormons are flooding X with pictures of "Jesus" and saying, "We believe in Jesus," and "The name JESUS CHRIST is in our Church! We're Christians." But their guy, also named Jesus, came to America and started Christianity here after the resurrection among Jews who sailed to America on boats in 600 BC. - Since that never happened, Mormon Jesus is a different Jesus.

Last week, a proposed list of simplified faith codes was released to the media. The Pentagon list included redundant and unnecessary labeling, and the mistake has been fixed. The goal of this effort is to simplify a previously out-of-control “belief” coding system that had ballooned to over 200 codes. In order to clarify the work of chaplains, and simplify the work of commanders, the Pentagon has consolidated and simplified the list to roughly thirty codes — using the previously used labels for faiths. The Pentagon’s job is not to adjudicate theological debates, but instead to ensure sincerely-held faith is respected and encouraged in our ranks. Below is the updated Religious Affiliation Codes (RAC) list:

@wstrnfort @BasedMikeLee When did He say that? Is that in the Bible? Is the Bible clear on all doctrine? If so, why did the emperor have to convene the councils to ‘settle’ the debates on the nature of God and His son Jesus Christ?

Read the Book of Mormon. Cover to cover. Pray about it, asking sincerely to know whether it’s true (the final chapter provides specific guidance on this point). Then tell me whether Latter-day Saints believe in Jesus Christ. Will you accept that challenge?

@wstrnfort @BasedMikeLee That’s a worse point.., God’s not dead. God’s plan through all ages has been to call men to lead the people. He never said He’d stop communicating. Amos 3:7.

You’re thinking chronologically — that’s not my point. I’m speaking in terms of God’s singular and complete vision for His people: from eternity past to the creation of Adam, from Adam to Christ, and from Christ to the Church. The order is beside the point; what matters is the complete vision of God’s will as expressed in the Word today. Deuteronomy 4:2 addresses the commandments, and Revelation speaks to the scroll — but both point to the same overarching principle: God’s Word, conveyed through men, borne by the Spirit, and compiled by them, is final.

@wstrnfort @BasedMikeLee Was the bible compiled when that was written? Was Revelation the last written book? It says the exact same thing in Deuteronomy, so should we throw out everything after that? Clearly referring to adding to the book of Revelation.

"Another restatement" is already a heretical statement. Revelation 22:18-19 18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. God complete Testament /Will begins in genesis and ends in revelation. Christ put on flesh to die for our sins, he resurrected and glorified on the 3rd day to impart himself into us as the Spirit, (John 7:37, John 20:22) and now he is in every member of His body, where today we are his representatives to shine as lights in the darkness as he was a light to others while a man walking the earth (John 8:12). That's it: nothing else added.

Mike the book isn’t true . The contradicts what Matthew writes in Matthew 1:18-2:23 where our lord was born in Bethlehem. Where the Book of Mormon states that he was born in Jerusalem”Alma 7”. Both sources can’t be right . Either the apostle that walked with Christ are wrong or Joseph Smith is wrong. The book of mormon also doesn’t understand the nature of God as establish an early scriptures. Mormon theology teaches that God does not dwell within of men”Doctrine and Covenants, 130:3). This contradicts Christ teaching on the subject “John 14:23”. Lastly, there is only one God that is not changed in this nature since the beginning of creation Deuteronomy 4:39: Isaiah 44:8: Isaiah 45:5: . Mike I know that many will be commenting all kinds of cruelty under this post attacking you. I respect you for having this discussion openly with the public and I will be praying for you on your walk.

@jedi_medic217 @BasedMikeLee The Bible talks of prophets in the last days. Christ didn’t say there would be no prophets, he said by their fruits ye shall know them. What do you anticipate these latter day prophets will be like, how will we recognize them, what fruits?

2 Peter 2:1 "But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." I don't need to read a book of lies Senator.

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland delivered the best explanation of how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints deviates from traditional Christianity and returns to the doctrine taught by Jesus Christ himself. “If one says we are not Christians because we do not hold a fourth- or fifth-century view of the Godhead, then what of those first Christian Saints, many of whom were eyewitnesses of the living Christ, who did not hold such a view either?” This is a must-watch today:

@EvidenceOfFaith @aidannonx Isaiah clearly meant to assert the supremacy, authority, and superiority of Yahweh over not only over false idols but over all else, including real gods. Isaiah 47:8-10 says the exact same thing about the city of Babylon- clearly other cities existed.

There’s just no fucking way. This is what happens when you deny the nicene creed and the trinity. You believe Jesus, who is God, is the brother of Satan. Even though Satan is a fallen angel created by God. Meaning they think Jesus was made not begotten and separate of God’s essence If Jesus is not consubstantial with the father, then Jesus is not God, because he lacks the same essence These people are just outright through and through heretics

Latter-day Truth@Latterdaytruth

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I bear testimony of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world and son of God. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, established His church, suffered for our sins and died on the cross, and rose the third day. He LIVES! Jesus Christ is the center of everything I do as a Latter-day Saint. So spew all the garbage you want, but I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I follow Him, regardless of what you say.

@ThoughtfulSaint The only ones contradicting the Bible are the Mormons. “Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.” Isaiah 43:10 “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.” Isaiah 44:6

@LDSBoomstick Great read. Might I also recommend “The American Story” by David Barton, “The Covenant” by Timmothy Ballard, “The 5000 Year Leap” by Cleon Skouson, and “America’s Destiny” by Tad R Callister - That would make an epic summer of reading to celebrate 250 years :)

I taught the 5th Sunday lesson to the youth today. It was great. I was so happy that sacrament meeting ended 5 minutes early. We still went 5 minutes over of course because everyone agreed we needed to sing the Star Spangled Banner with the oft-neglected final verse. I'm so grateful for America 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲 How'd it go for everyone else?
