NEWS President-elect Trump says he intends to nominate Charles Kushner, Jared Kushner’s father and Ivanka Trump’s father-in-law, to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to France, one of the most coveted U.S. ambassadorships. Normally, donors are nominated to serve as the U.S. Ambassador to France, not career Foreign Service officers. Charles Kushner was convicted of various felonies in 2005 and served time in federal prison. He received a pardon from then-President Trump in the last days of his first administration.
