Most Catholics know Mary stood at the Cross. But the CCC# 964 says something stunning: Mary “lovingly consented" to the sacrifice of her Son. That is not sentimental Marian devotion. That is supernatural holiness. At Nazareth, Mary said yes to the Incarnation. At Calvary, Mary’s yes became a sword through the soul. She did not run. She did not rage. She stood. And in faith, she consented. This is why Catholics love Mary. Not because she replaces Jesus. Because she teaches us how to follow Him when the Cross costs everything. Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us.

The first Christians did not gather around a Bible study. They gathered around the Eucharist. The New Testament canon would not be finalized for centuries, but the Mass was already the center of Christian life from the beginning.

The Catholic Mass is centred on Jesus Christ. Not on the priest... but on Jesus. Everything that happens in the Catholic Church points you to Jesus. The Mass points you to Jesus. The Rosary points you to Jesus. Adoration points you to Jesus. Benediction points you to Jesus. The Mother of God points you to Jesus. This is why I find it laughable when I hear Protestants here say that Catholics don't worship Jesus. It is not just a lie, but it is a sin to bear false witness against someone. The Church instituted by Jesus Christ Himself points you to Its maker, Jesus. A true Christian is a Catholic.

The tragedy of Protestantism is that I could start my own "church" tomorrow, call myself pastor, preach whatever I think sounds spiritual, and no one could objectively tell me I’m outside the Church. In Protestantism, what “Christianity” is depends on who you ask. There is no final earthly authority, no binding list of essentials, no voice that can definitively say, “this is the faith.” Private interpretation becomes the final court of appeal. Christ did not leave His followers to doctrinal guesswork. He established a visible, authoritative Church with the mandate to teach, define doctrine, and preserve unity in belief. That Church is the Catholic Church.
