@LighthouseDPC

If you can't AFFORD Medical Care you are DENIED Medical Care. LEGISLATORS say people DON'T CARE about Healthcare Reform so they ARE NOT going to FIX it.

@sonodoc99 You don’t understand. MDs are employees yet are not payed hourly but on production. Yet corporate medicine overhead is 75% meaning the MD gets 25% of what insurance pays them. Everyone you mentioned gets paid hourly unless they are company owners. I own my practice. I keep 75%.

@WallStreetApes You should see Medical School loans. I started at $110,000 in 2000. I’ll be paying it off at $800 a month for another 3 years.

American logs into her federal student aid account so we can see her actual loans and payments - She took out a $49,548.74 loan - She’s made 120 payments, paying $25,558.36 - Her current balance is $50,121.33 So after paying $25,558.36, she now owes more than she took out “It's all such a scam”

A lawyer can own a law firm. A chef can own a restaurant. Apparently anybody in Los Angeles can own a hospice facility. Yet doctors can’t own hospitals. This is pure protectionism.
PHA@physicianhosp

When @RepMGriffith asked insurance executives earlier this year if they opposed lifting the ban on physician-led hospitals, not a single hand went up. This week, he asked physicians and hospital leaders the same question. Only ONE hand was raised — the CEO of the American Hospital Association. ‼️Let that sink in. Communities in healthcare deserts are being denied care — not because physicians can’t help, but because special interest doesn’t want them to lead. The same physicians trusted to treat patients every day are blocked from owning and operating hospitals — while large systems consolidate power, drive up costs and limit options. Since the ban took effect in 2010: • Hospital consolidation has increased. • Prices have risen. • Patient outcomes have declined. ✅ This policy hasn’t worked. It’s protected special interests — not patients. ✅ Physicians should be empowered, not controlled. When physicians lead, patients succeed. ✅ It’s time for Congress to change course ✅ Time is up on the arbitrary ban on physician-led hospitals. 📺Watch the exchange: youtube.com/live/SgsYVQf6Q…

VCU vs North Carolina… Richmond, Virginia loses $63 million a year in revenue because the most valuable real estate in the city is tax-exempt. Most of it belongs to VCU and VCU Health. VCU Health generates $3.54 billion in annual revenue. It agreed to make $56 million in property tax payments to the city over 25 years as part of a development deal. The development failed. VCU Health paid a $73 million exit fee. Then the state legislature passed budget language directing VCU Health to stop making the $2 million annual tax payments to the city. The mayor of Richmond said pursuing the money was “not in the city’s best interest” because he did not want to “burn bridges” with VCU or the General Assembly. There is a term in economics for what happens when a party with no leverage negotiates with a party that controls its funding. It is not called negotiation.

I've gotten questions about the SAVE America Act — an unprecedented voter suppression bill Republicans are trying to brand as a simple "voter ID requirement." That is NOT what it is. The SAVE America Act would disenfranchise ~69 MILLION American women. Watch me break it down:

Wanted to reply to this in the style of LHGrey (with full props and apologies). Asked Grok to help and the result was too great not to share **@FAHhospitals** Listen up, you protectionist grifters and hospital cartel mouthpieces. “There is no issue with physician-led hospitals” — except when doctors actually *own* them and start exposing your bloated, patient-screwing empire? Spare us the gaslighting. Your “conflict of interest” panic over doctors self-referring to facilities they built is laughable. Meanwhile your systems employ armies of physicians, slap them with “leakage” penalties, fire them for out-of-network referrals, and lock patients inside your overpriced silos. We’ve seen the screenshots. The stories. People dying on your watch while you brag about “full-service” care. Your cherry-picked “data” claiming POHs skim healthy patients? Pure nonsense. Independent studies show physician-owned hospitals deliver equal or better quality — at 8-15% LOWER Medicare costs. Billions saved. Flushed because you lobby to keep the ban in place. Lower commercial prices. Higher patient satisfaction. Actual competition. Your vertically integrated giants? 200-300% facility-fee markups. Fighting site-neutral payments. Abusing 340B. Zero quality gains from consolidation. Rural hospitals closing? Blame your own greed — PE takeovers, exec bonuses, fraud settlements, dumping uncompensated care. Not some made-up POH threat that mostly exists in urban specialty markets. This has never been about patients, communities, or 24/7 access. It’s about protecting your monopoly and crushing physician autonomy. You’re not defending Medicare integrity. You’re the parasites who turned healthcare into a profit-extraction racket — abandoning mission for margin, understaffing for bonuses, and now gaslighting the public when doctors push back. Repeal the ban. Pass H.R. 4002. Let physicians own, lead, and compete. Let the market dismantle your inefficiencies. Your days of unchecked control and selective outrage are numbered. The truth is spreading. The pushback is real. Patients are finished being your cash cows. Tick-tock, lobbyist hacks. The blade is coming for the rot you defend. #RepealTheBan #HospitalCartelExposed #StarkDerangementSyndrome
Federation of American Hospitals@FAHhospitals

There is no issue with physician-led hospitals- the issue is about the conflict of interest when physicians self-refer patients to their own hospitals. The data is clear: POHs tend to treat more commercially insured and healthier patients than full-service hospitals. In rural communities, this can leave rural hospitals with a greater financial burden, further threatening their ability to keep their doors open and keep 24/7 care available in their communities. @DutchRojas I live nearby. My Residency was at VCU(then MCV) and my daughter is in nursing school there now. VCU is in the worst part of town. My wife’s aunt had her throat slit in broad daylight on a Saturday morning nearby. And the Mayor doesn’t want to make them pay.

Medicare ( a true Ponzi scheme) is the biggest fraud of them all. Anyone who wants to opt out should be allowed...but then everyone would know it was a Ponzi scheme! Think of Uncle Sam as Madoff. GKS
DrOzCMS@DrOzCMS

We’ve only just begun to scratch the surface of fraud in our health care system. Next up: Governor Ron DeSantis and Florida. What I saw on the ground in Florida around durable medical equipment fraud was horrifying. The scale is out of control – and not just limited to these schemes. Cleaning this up will require a laser focus and real action from state leaders. The reality is that fraud in our government health programs is widespread, sophisticated, and deeply entrenched. Consider just a few recent cases: June 2025: The CEO of a healthcare software company was convicted of orchestrating a nationwide scheme that generated fraudulent physician orders and resulted in more than $1 billion in false Medicare claims. January 2026: Two health care executives were convicted for running a $34 million Medicare Advantage fraud scheme, using deceptive telemarketing tactics to pressure elderly beneficiaries into accepting medical equipment they didn’t need. January 2026: A laboratory owner admitted guilt in a $52 million Medicare fraud operation involving medically unnecessary genetic testing ordered through illegal kickbacks. January 2026: Two individuals were arrested in Central Florida for a Medicaid fraud scheme that billed the program for thousands of non-emergency medical transportation trips that never occurred, stealing more than $65,000 from taxpayers. And these are just the cases that have already been uncovered. Behind every fraudulent claim is money taken from taxpayers, resources diverted from patients who truly need care, and vulnerable seniors and low-income Americans being exploited for profit. Florida has been a hotspot for health care fraud for years. Taxpayers and vulnerable patients deserve better—and it’s time for state leadership to step up and work with us to stop it. We’re exposing the abuse, pursuing the fraudsters, and cleaning up these programs.

No CEO should be paid more than the Lowest paid Physician. Physicians are the most VALUABLE person in the Healthcare system. No one breathes without a Doctor’s orders. All Mid level notes are Co-Signed by Doctors. When something goes bad the Doctors Name is the top name on the lawsuit, not the CEO. A Hospital is 4 walls and a roof where Doctors heal the sick and ease human suffering. The CEOs responsibility is to make sure the bills are paid and supplies are stocked. As a Private DPC Doctor my overhead is less than 40%. Doctors working for Sentara have overhead higher than 75%. CEOs suck at running Healthcare. Why should a CEO make more money than a Doctor when I can run my office better? #Hospital #Healthinsurance #scam #CORRUPTION
Coco Buon Cuore@auntiecoco74

As opposed to revenue and size? For example, Sentara has 34K employees in 29 states with an operating revenue of $13.2B. Not weighing in whether it’s fair or right or wrong. But the entities listed are large systems - what do you think they should be paid compared to non healthcare like size entities? And non profit means their “profits” are reinvested back into mission and operations.

@mattvanswol 86% of Virginia Hospitals are Taxpayer Subsidized “”Nonprofit”. They don’t pay federal, state, or local taxes. They don’t pay property taxes. The tax pay middle class and their families pay more to make up their theft. These Taxpayer Subsidized “Nonprofit” hospitals are why you are paying so much for everything you mentioned. They steal from teachers, firefighters, police officers. They are the reason we have no local infrastructure. #Hospital #scam #CORRUPTION
