@coryfromphilly I keep telling people that it's only a matter of time before the average American that wants to move to a city figures out about how good philly is, and then housing prices are over

@SandyofCthulhu I want to say, as a 10 year old boy, AoE brought me huge comfort while my parents were getting divorced. I was SO excited for Conquerors. I remember trying to mess around with building an AI with Notepad and getting excited. I'm a software dev today thanks to guys

The year was 1999. Because MicroSoft loved what I did on Age of Empires they demanded I do the expansion pack for Age of Empires II. With Age 1, I did Rise of Rome, which made sense because the ancient days kind of ended with Rome. But there was no obvious successor to medieval tgimes, so I went with the generic "The Conquerors" theme. Naturally we wanted conquest civs. We decided to have 4 (same number as Rise of Rome). I chose the Huns, the Spanish, the Mayans, and the Aztecs. I was SO excited to get Aztecs into a game. And please, no one try to mansplain to me that "Aztecs were bad guys." Friend, I wanted them BECAUSE they were bad guys. Anyway, the Conquerors project was really smooth. We are almost done five weeks ahead of schedule - almost unheard of in a software project. I was so proud. My whole 6-man team was giddy because when we finished we could move onto Age of Mythology or Age of Empires 3, with the cool kids. Then Microsoft called. 1/2

@Tesho13 Pretty sure the mayor of Mooresville told the rail to screw off. Has that sentiment changed? I'm from there and when I heard that I was massively disappointed.

In November, Charlotte has the chance to vote “Yes For Meck” and raise $20 billion to transform our roads and transit Here’s how the money would be invested Roads: $8 billion • Building new roads • Improving existing ones • More sidewalks and bike lanes • Safer intersections and crosswalks • Smart traffic signals to reduce wait times Trains: $8 billion • Red Line: Uptown to Mooresville • Silver Line: Airport to BoPlex (or further) • Blue Line Extension: South to Ballantyne • Gold Line Extension: Rosa Parks to Eastland • More fare enforcement and improved safety Buses: $4 billion • Expanded hours of operation • Improving over 2,000 bus shelters • 15 minute frequency on top 15 routes • 30 minute frequency on all other routes • Point to point microtransit in less dense areas With over 157 people moving to our region everyday - we can invest now and keep moving, or do nothing, and get stuck in traffic

@day9tv Someone made a calculator that helps to "optimally" make packs depending on # players, # cards in cube, and pool size you want for each player. We used it last night and was useful for when we had 6 ppl. westrope.dev/mtg-draft-calc…

Dear MTG players better than I (that’s you), I come with a question! I’ve been watching more cube lately, and I’m wondering if there have been explorations of drafting with more cards per pack? (eg 20 cards per pack so moar picks) I’ve only ever seen the same amount!

The 14th Street Busway has been a smashing success: faster commutes, fewer crashes, calmer streets. So why is Eric Adams blocking a similar plan for 34th Street?

Last year, we finally made enemy Odyssey filterlands. That went well - and other land cycles still need finishing up... So starting with #MTGEternities we're gradually rolling out enemy cycling+tango lands in precons! (Just shown on @commandcast!) Commanders and Cubers rejoice!

@Urban_Connector yeah i feel like they LOVE saying that its the largest park in Atlanta but tbh i wish it was half or a quarter the size and they put housing on the remainder of the land

We have a staff pick from Mae, the Fish Tank Cube! Phillip Rose's cube is a merfolk kindred cube that celebrates the fishy friends, leaning into multiple themes that can be built around. While also having bit of a Desert theme. How would you start? #mtgcube #CubeCon2025

@BasedRedWolf @lambertmeltonnc Because bike paths and bike lanes are so incredibly cheap on maintenance cost as a bike does almost no damage to the road. If you charge a bike rider a toll for maintenance, it would be just a couple of cents and not worth setting up of toll.

@lambertmeltonnc We are tolling drivers on NC540. Why not toll the bike riders for these lanes? It’s seems like a fair strategy to pay for the infrastructure.

The comments on any of my posts about bike lanes are both perplexing and oddly amusing. Y'all really get worked up about a tiny bit of public right-of-way space dedicated to folks who need or want to get around safely without a car. 🤷‍♂️🚲🛴

0/10 experience today guys. Holy cow. Even the customer experience was bad between waiting through an entire menu before I could press a number, to the person on the phone outright lying saying the next bus was at 7.

Finally on the bus for 2 hours. I could've just walked home, 4 miles away, and it would have been faster.

Not happy @GoRaleighNC. First, the main bus I take never left the station. Second, the NEXT BUS was running VERY late and decided to take a detour despite this North Hills stop listed as a major stop. I've had to wait for more than an hour during "peak hours" and I'm not alone.
