@ZacGoodman_ What are the differences in your programming for athletes with different weaknesses? (Force deficient, form deficient, explosion deficient)

Tried to post the cracker factor thread last night at 3am but Twitter and their "free speech" platform would stop me every time in fear I was breaking another pedo case apparently I will have to do it today 1 by 1 (which takes forever) so right after MLB starts I will do it

HS FOOTBALL PLAYERS 🏈 If you improve your standing vertical jump by 10”, IT WILL SHOW ON THE FIELD, you will: Hit harder, change direction faster, jam receivers at the line, as well as jump higher. Vertical Jump = POWER 🧨🧨🧨🧨

@Lightss0utt Not always but sometimes. It depends on time of the year for our athletes. Our training remains the same year round.

In the Weightroom… We start every workout with jumping. On Upper/Sprint days it’s all Short GCT Jumps measuring RSI. On Lower/Jump it’s Loaded and Unloaded Verts measuring Heights. As far as conditioning goes, we do some GPP work in the sleds and marches. Then they play sport

@ZacGoodman_ What’s your warmup period and your “conditioning” period look like?

@ZacGoodman_ Teams that practice with a purpose don't need to run after practice. 1. Indy periods are usually a huge waste of time aka junk volume at low intensity that doesn't match game demands. 2. Most team warm ups are a missed development opportunity. Sprint fast. Practice fast. Rest.

I know a lot of ppl teach it - but I cringe every time I see a young QB sling the ball for velocity & have weight leaning back so they slightly fall away from throw! I get that it adds velocity - but no one will ever convince me this could ever make you more efficient/accurate than fully transferring your weight through throw & into your front leg! Be careful when the most important thing is velocity and not accuracy… you can win with limited arm strength, you will never win with limited accuracy!

My son asked if he could wear the #ActivatorBelt, I agreed and quickly set it up. He enjoyed it and asked if he could do it with the athletes I train. It was a fun moment, showing how the Activator Belt's global popularity has influenced him.

Elbow-to-elbow shuffles are a CLASSIC well-known drill🔥 Helps with: 1. Footwork 2. Fluidity 3. Handle/Control 3 sets of 30 seconds, you’ll see quick improvement 💯 #basketball #basketballworkout

Makes sense. I have my twins that I train on speed and agility based on help around the community. We dunk on lowered basketball hoops, trampolines, make competitions out of different things. I measure everything and they play all the sports. They love it. It’s just tough at that age when to know if they’re already pretty good at something in particular compared to something else

10 year olds I truly dont care about baseline as much and just fun movements while "playing" sports.

@Tony_Villani_ What if I have 10 year olds? What are some good baselines?
