I'm 43 now, and I've now seen three distinct phases in my life regarding attitudes towards gender/sex. Here's a handy guide for determining which one is the correct take: 1) Pre-1990ish: "Little Billy can't play with dolls b/c he's a boy and everyone knows boys don't play with dolls" ❌ 2) 1990-2010: "Little Billy can play with dolls if he wants, boys can play with dolls. It doesn't make him any less of a boy" ✅ 3) 2010 - Present : "Little Billy IS a girl because he plays with dolls, because everyone knows boys don't play with dolls" ❌ As we can see, #2 is the correct choice. #1 and #3 are examples of toxic right wing gender norms, and toxic left wing gender norms, respectively. That's the funny thing about gender ideology; despite its adherents loud claims that they are somehow smashing traditional gender-based norms and stereotypes, they're actually rigidly enforcing them. The truly enlightened viewpoint is that there is no right or wrong way to be a boy or girl and kids should feel free to explore and play with whatever they want without activists with an agenda slapping an inappropriate label on them and forcing them into a pathway towards lifelong medicalization and dependency on Big Pharma.

As I mentioned on X last week it was unusually cold for much of May in many parts of England, and after the post below I had a look on weather.com and discovered that the temperature I measured that day was about the same as in Tromsø in the Arctic Circle. The whole thing went uncommented on by the media. Whereas a few weeks previously when it was warm, the headlines were "Hotter than Athens today!" But now that we're about to have several days of unusually warm weather over the bank holiday weekend, suddenly weather maps in shades of beetroot and puce and apocalyptic warnings about the climate emergency are popping up everywhere. If you can't see that this is narrative pushing at its most blatant, you aren't paying close enough attention.

Now there's a very, very good question. Thames Water have now admitted that they are not treating (dousing) their sewage for phosphate due to a "supply issue". That by the way has a massive and negative impact on water quality and aquatic life. Funny they didn't mention any of that until they were called out on it. Years ago, while standing in court black and blue on domestic violence charges after defending myself against a man who nearly killed me, I met a lawyer from Redfern Legal Centre, Susan Smith. I told her, “I’m actually the perpetrator.” She looked at me in shock and replied: “Oh my God. I’ve got more like you.” That conversation led to a major report involving seven women across NSW who had all been severely assaulted by partners or ex-partners — and then charged by police for defending themselves. Some had thrown a toy. Some had thrown a shoe. None of the men were injured. Yet the women were arrested, charged, handcuffed, dragged to cells and treated like offenders while the men who assaulted them walked free. The report was reviewed and endorsed by the Ombudsman. And yet women are STILL being misidentified and criminalised today. This matters because it destroys lives. Before domestic violence, I had never even had a speeding ticket. Afterwards came PTSD, alcoholism, homelessness, suicide attempts, brain injury and eventually prison. That is why I am speaking publicly now. Not for sympathy. For truth.
