People want to know more about what happens as we die. My TEDx talk for @TEDxNewcastle went live yesterday. It's already been viewed 44,000 times. Please help it get out into the world: pass it on in any way you can. bit.ly/3vTZ7OP

What can we learn from the death of the #Queen? The world has watched her live through the process of #OrdinaryDying, and yet dying went unspoken, un-named. Let's notice what nobody mentioned: we all saw the Queen going through the stages of ordinary dying. A 🧵... 1/

@KathrynSLT Honestly you will learn so much without even realising! I only left because it was a fixed term contract. I used to worry I was missing out on learning how to do traditional rehab but when I moved roles I realised just how much I knew and was worrying about nothing. Enjoy!

So yesterday, I verbally accepted an offer for a job working at a neuro rehab hospital for patients with acquired brain injuries!!! I feel so lucky to have got the job and I am so excited to help other people and to start my new career as an SLT in January 🥳🥳

Day finished with writing notes, arranging more visits and admin. Lots of communication between myself and my colleague - essential with remote working! Having worked in acute settings and recently moved into the community I'm enjoying the change #AHPsDay2020 #mySLTday

#AHPsDay2020 #AHPsdayScot a different perspective today from an SLT working in the community covering care homes and hospices. Raising awareness for our wonderful profession and possibly a snapshot of another side of SLT #rcslt #mySLTdat
