@FACEIT_Darwin

@imik_plays @J_Alexander_HS It's absolute nonsense though. Token Druid was strong what, 2 months ago? How is that a reasonable explanation for releasing a useless class miniset? If they can not react to meta changes that happened 2 months ago then what are they even doing

@J_Alexander_HS They most likely made this last-minute as a fresh idea and had no idea what to do. I'll give them this video to improve the next one, and then I'll start ranting, but for now I'm fine with the 2 small tidbits they've mentioned - Druid Class Set and DK getting 2 Class Sets. 😀

People: We want more communication.👎 Also, people when we get more communication: 👎 I'm always criticizing something, but cmon, I want more of these in the future, just tell them in a nice way what they should improve next time instead of "this sucks, here's a dislike, waaa".

Only Valve can finally realize that changing the map pool after the major and during the offseason is rad and cool THEN IMMEDIATELY 180 and change the map pool a month before the major. Hopefully this is comp only until the end of the premier season.

@FACEITcs Faceit and most players don't even know what toxic means. Most players have high ego and don't want to play for the team or are baiters and when you tell them that they say you are toxic and they report. This post is useless.

Former Bayern president Uli Hoeneß on ticket pricing: “We could charge more than €120 per season ticket. If we charge €350 per season ticket we would get €2m extra, but what does that mean for us? The difference for a fan between €120 and €350 is enormous and we do not believe that fans are like cows, which are milked. Football has to be for everyone. That is the biggest difference between us and England.” 👏👏

@yhdistyminen do you have any real life example of something absolutely essential for society survival (not something you like: something objectively indispensable) that wasn't provided voluntarily when the government didn't provide it? or it's just vibes?

I strongly dislike how Valve have effectively and explicitly named HLTV and Liquipedia as the effective arbitrators of what the "commonly known" name for teams are in Counter-Strike esports. It is another example of Valve abdicating responsibility for the content in their games and their Majors and forcing it on third parties with no help or guidance. It is not talked about openly but behind the scenes it is becoming increasingly common for organizations to approach sites and ask incessantly or even in some cases issue legal threats to try and get title sponsors or sponsor-friendly logos to be used on these sites as these organizations know that they will be financially rewarded for getting sponsors into one of the world's most popular titles; or in some cases be punished for failing to do so. As someone who values editorial independence and the ability for coverage sites to present information in the way they believe best suits their viewers, Valve really needs to put out more clear guidelines about what they want to see in their game and protect coverage sites that are at risk of coercion from organizations with a lot to gain from winning them over.

@JesperLarsen222 @SPUNJ i wouldn‘t overrate it. if you want to attend a major you must crush t2-3 events. and if t1 fail to achieve this kind of level and consistency they don‘t belong on a major. otherwise it would devalue the major itself. but gj BIG, finally some good management decisions.

Body of work in the major qualification I listened to @SPUNJ breaking down the "body of work" (on HLTV Confirmed) of the teams who qualified to the major, on my walk in the woods today.. a very nice breakdown and a great angle to take! Give it a listen if you're interested in this topic👇 In the podcast BIG is mentioned as an example of a team with an underwhelming body of work in the major qualification. It is discussed a little back and forth, but ultimately I was left with the impression that the objection that was hanging in the air, was that BIG should have played more good opponents, almost implying that they gamed the system. Well, they were not allowed by the system to play better opponents, they sought out every possibility to do so, but having 0 invites means not getting to play good teams for high bounty. Having been close to the planning I would argue that BIG's body of work is actually very impressive in its own way. In fact, I would argue BIG’s path was actually insane and mad impressive. The chances of pulling that off were very small to begin with. They had to go from rank 92 to Major-qualified in 3 months by winning the vast majority (80%) of 40+ matches against tier 2-3 teams, with only little margin for error. Example: One early loss to Lilmix still costs them -21 H2H points here 3 months later and left me wondering at the time of the defeat, whether that was it, with a costly defeat this early. It was not allowed to happen more than a few times from then on, and it didn't! In this system, wins against weak teams give almost no points, while losses are brutal (-25 ish H2H) and decay slowly. That means every single match becomes a must-win. Maintaining that level of consistency in the brutal EU Tier 2 scene (BO1s, online + LAN, multiple games per day) for three months straight is extremely difficult - many higher profile teams failed at it, with much fewer wins required even, in these kind of matches. BIG was hard-capped on how high they could get in the ranking from the start, exactly because they had no access to high-value Tier 1 matches. Teams with invites can afford occasional losses from the extra points gained in the base model from high-value wins; BIG couldn’t as every defeat picked up would work against that hard-cap of the maximum points they could achieve only playing lower-ranked opponents. Their positive H2H adjustment score after 43 matches against lower-ranked teams is, in itself, an impressive proof of their body of work. BIG made a good plan but the impressive part was it being executed near perfectly by the team, meaning winning a lot of matches.. must win matches every single match. What they achieved was legitimately impressive and fully deserved. So many other teams fail trying to do the same in the tier 2 scene without even getting close. This must speak to the actual strength of the team and their body of work.. Which in their case is the very high win-rate they maintained in the tier 2 and Open LAN space!
