@RobYeldham Also, if he worked in Civil Defence it might be worth checking the local council archives where he worked to see if they have any record of him. I think that’s everything I can think of off the top of my head but hopefully something fruitful will come up. Good luck!

@RobYeldham That would be easier if you have some sense of when and where he was likely to have had tribunal (easiest if you have a record or find him in the newspapers) otherwise it’s a long slog. CBCO records are held at Friends House in London which has a very friendly team. 3/?

@Linseyrobb I saw an online piece about your research into WW2 consciousness objectors. Any advice on how to track records of family members? On eod my grandfathers was a CO who worked as a civil defence rescue worker and joined the police post war.
