Made a promise to my fiancé that we’ll be living in Florida this upcoming winter for at minimum one month in an extended stay airbnb. Long term though I’d love to be snowbirds every single winter from January - April/May. What’s the move for that? Rent? Buy something?

@TristenPalori Enjoy it. Could easily afford to sub it out. Either I workout for an hour and a half in my basement or I do real work outside for an hour and a half. Not everything in life needs to be optimal

Can someone explain to me why people do cosmetic yard work for 4+ hours every weekend? Wait, so the 10 seconds you see it when you leave/enter your home makes it all worth it? I just can’t think of a worse way to spend my time.

Charles Gracey asks truckers, Is freight really rebounding?.. And do truckers see it in their bank account? On Brake Check, owner-operators give their temperature check on the freight market.

If you are spending 1200 bucks on an oil change you do not deserve to be an owner operator. Yeah oil and filters have gone up but if you can’t spin a filter or operate a grease gun yourself - NGMI.
FreightWaves@FreightWaves

On Brake Check, a veteran owner-operator breaks down the brutal math of modern trucking with Charles Gracey.. From skyrocketing repair costs, expensive tires, $1,200 oil changes, and rates that haven’t kept up.

@Liquid_Bulk @daynight11999 And that’s why I will never spend a dime at your truckstop or any other truckstop that charges for parking especially when I put in $900 in fuel three times a week. Personally, I hope you go out of business.

Of course truck parking costs money. The bank charges interest on the property. The seller charged for the land. The town charges taxes. Insurance costs money. Maintenance costs money. Truckers are business owners, not civil servants entitled to free storage. Appreciate truckers all day long, but business expenses are part of the game. Put your big boy pants on and stop crying every time parking isn’t free. A tractor trailer takes up 1,000+ square feet. Nobody owes you that space for free. If you find free parking or the state provides it, great. That means you did good business that day.

@Liquid_Bulk Young man there was no paid parking at truck stops 15 years ago they are just greedy everything you buy in a truck stop is overpriced another example of greedyness is gouging the fuel price at Loves $6.20/g across street 5.20/g at Sheetz when it should be vice versa.

@Liquid_Bulk Heck I tried parking on one of your properties when I was running around the corner. Never was able to get parked. Your fault? Absolutely not. Does paying to park suck sometimes, yeah, often times unnecessary. In other markets it’s just a necessary cost of doing business.

The truck parking hate is the same as broker hate a few years back. If it’s so profitable stop complaint about it and get into it. Spoiler, they are both very good businesses. Ask me how I know 😎

Im not a whoop user and don’t hate it either but I learned that whoop once made a promise to users where if you subscribed to the product, you automatically get the upgraded versions for free. and when the time came to honour this commitment - I guess they just decided not to do what they promised?? does that not leave a bad taste in your mouth as a customer about the company?

Whoop is now worth $10.1 billion. Today, Google launched the Fitbit Air, a $99.99 wristband with Gemini AI inside that costs half of Whoop's cheapest plan. The Fitbit Air ships May 26. No screen. A small sensor on a band. It tracks your heart rate, sleep stages, workouts, and stress. The Fitbit app becomes Google Health the same day. Inside is a Gemini-powered AI coach that reads your data and tells you what to change. If you've slept badly three nights in a row, the coach changes your workout for that day. If caffeine is wrecking your sleep, it tells you to cut back. Every Fitbit Air comes with three free months of the AI coach. After that, the coach runs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. If you already pay for one of Google's AI plans, the coach is included. The cheapest Whoop plan is $199 a year. The top tier is $359. In March, Whoop raised $575 million from investors who valued the company at $10.1 billion. Google bought Fitbit in January 2021 for $2.1 billion and watched the brand fade. Active monthly users dropped from 40 million in 2022 to about 33 million in 2025. Estimated revenue fell to $770 million last year, a 15% drop. Meanwhile, Whoop gave the hardware away and charged a subscription for AI advice on workouts and rest, letting the software do the work. Whoop now has more than 2.5 million paying members. The 130 million people who registered for Fitbit over the years now belong to Google Health. Stephen Curry, Google's Performance Advisor, helped design a special edition of the Air. The Gemini coach, in testing since October, is now live for everyone in 200+ countries. The Fitbit Air keeps working if you skip the subscription, but Whoop's hardware needs the subscription to function. Apple Health only works on iPhones. Google Health and the Fitbit Air work on both. Whoop's AI coach starts at $199 a year. Google's costs $99.99 a year, or nothing extra if you have Google AI Pro. The fight for AI on your wrist begins May 26.
Google Health@googlehealth

Get up close and personal with your health. On May 26, the Fitbit app becomes the #GoogleHealth app for both Android and iOS— combining the best of Fitbit tracking with the power of Google to create a more holistic wellness experience. Learn more: goo.gle/4tjeRq7

@YankeeLibrarian Would be better if he had some base discipline If Yankees had not gotten a dozen walks last night his two outs at third could have cost the game.
