MAGA should never be told that a convicted pedophile and his circle of elite friends raping girls when they are 14 or 16 years old is a Democrat hoax. And I still can’t believe I had to fight President Trump to release the Epstein files, and to this day no one has been arrested or held accountable. This was what killed MAGA. I don’t have Trump Derangement Syndrome, I have Trump Disappointment Syndrome.

The President just claimed it’s “totally unconstitutional” to ask Congress for permission to wage war. He has it exactly backwards. Article I is not a suggestion. The power to declare war belongs to Congress. Period. We are 60 days into an unauthorized war. American servicemembers are in harm’s way. And the President is telling you the Constitution does not apply to him. To my Republican colleagues: this is the moment we must reclaim Article I authority. Vote to end this war. History is taking attendance. Your grandchildren will ask what you did. “I was scared of a primary” is not a good answer.

Dear Cheeto-in-Chief: Let's play a game. I'm going to share 24 quotes which have been expressed about you over the years, and you're going to tell me who uttered each of them. I'll provide the answers at the end of this post. Ready? Good. 1. “The American people deserve to know that President Trump asked me to put him over my oath to the Constitution. … Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be president of the United States.” 2. “Someone who engaged in that kind of bullying about a process that is fundamental to our system and to our self-government shouldn’t be anywhere near the Oval Office.” 3. “Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people – does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us.” 4. “I think he’s unfit for office. … He puts himself before country. His actions are all about him and not about the country. And then, of course, I believe he has integrity and character issues as well.” 5. “We don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator. We take an oath to the Constitution and we take an oath to the idea that is America – and we’re willing to die to protect it.” 6. “(Trump’s) understanding of global events, his understanding of global history, his understanding of US history was really limited. It’s really hard to have a conversation with someone who doesn’t even understand the concept for why we’re talking about this.” 7. “He used to be good on foreign policy and now he has started to walk it back and get weak in the knees when it comes to Ukraine. A terrible thing happened on January 6 and he called it a beautiful day.” 8. “Someone who I would argue now is just out for himself.” 9. “We saw the absence of leadership, really anti-leadership, and what that can do to our country.” 10. “I believe (foreign leaders) think he is a laughing fool.” 11. “A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law. There is nothing more that can be said. God help us.” 12. “I quit because I think he failed at being the president when we needed him to be that.” 13. “He is the domestic terrorist of the 21st century.” 14. “I am terrified of him running in 2024.” 15. “When I saw what was happening on January 6 and didn’t see the president step in and do what he could have done to turn it back or slow it down or really address the situation, it was just obvious to me that I couldn’t continue.” 16. “At a particular point the events were such that it was impossible for me to continue, given my personal values and my philosophy." 17. “…the president has very little understanding of what it means to be in the military, to fight ethically or to be governed by a uniform set of rules and practices.” 18. “The President undermined American democracy baselessly for months. As a result, he’s culpable for this siege, and an utter disgrace.” 19. “Donald’s an idiot.” 20. “Trump relentlessly puts forth claims that are not true.” 21. “We can stand by the policies, but at this point we cannot stand by the man.” 22. “Donald Trump, who would attack civil rights icons and professional athletes, who would go after grieving black widows, who would say there were good people on both sides, who endorsed an accused child molester; Donald Trump, and his decisions and his behavior, was harming the country. I could no longer be a part of this madness.” 23. “I thought that he did do a lot of good during his four years. I think that his actions on January 6 and the lead-up to it, the way that he’s acted in the aftermath, and his continuation of pushing this lie that the election is stolen has made him wholly unfit to hold office every again.” 24. “I think that Donald Trump is the most grave threat we will face to our democracy in our lifetime, and potentially in American history.” So, how'd you do? Just out of curiosity, how many Democrats did you find in this list? Well, I know you're on the edge of your golden toilet, so I'll now give you the answers. 1. Your former vice president, Mike Pence 2. Your second attorney general, Bill Barr 3. Your first secretary of defense, James Mattis 4. Your second secretary of defense, Mark Esper 5. Your former chairman of the joint chiefs, Mark Milley 6. Your first secretary of state, Rex Tillerson 7. Your first ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley 8. Your former presidential transition vice-chairman, Chris Christie 9. Your second national security adviser, HR McMaster 10. Your third national security adviser, John Bolton 11. Your second chief of staff, John Kelly 12. Your former acting chief of staff, Mick Mulvaney 13. Your former communications director, Anthony Scaramucci 14. What did Charles actually do? He praised NATO in front of its loudest critic. He championed climate action in front of a climate denier. He called for interfaith dialogue during an administration that has banned citizens from Muslim-majority countries. He praised checks and balances on executive power to a room full of lawmakers who have been unable to exercise them. He referenced the Middle East crisis that is currently straining the alliance he was there to celebrate. He defended the Royal Navy after Trump publicly insulted it. And he did all of this while receiving standing ovations, bipartisan laughter, and a dinner invitation.

The Republican gaslighting on ‘violent rhetoric’ is ludicrous. Yes, Democrats call Donald Trump a threat to democracy. He still denies the 2020 election and a lot of his party has gone along with it. There’s a reason Republicans hide from reporters - they can’t answer for Trump dancing on the graves of his political enemies or calling Democrats ‘the enemy within’, ‘traitors’, or the ‘party of hate, evil, and Satan.’ And for those that actually care about reality, the majority of political violence comes from the right. It’s clear as day.

Comey: Well, they're back. This time about a picture of seashells on a North Carolina beach a year ago. And this won't be the end of it. But nothing has changed with me. I'm still innocent. I'm still not afraid. And I still believe in the independent federal judiciary. So let's go. But it's really important that all of us remember this is not who we are as a country. This is not how the Department of Justice is supposed to be. And the good news is we get closer every day to restoring those values. Keep the faith.

Fox Host Jessica Tarlov responds to the “but their rhetoric” criticisms: You say Democrats went out and called Donald Trump a threat to democracy. Absolutely. The guy still doesn't accept the 2020 results, and a majority of the party doesn't as a consequence of the fact that he continued to proliferate that lie.  Republicans who are out there criticizing Democrats right now are the ones who run from reporters in the hallways when Donald Trump has done something absurd, like celebrate Rob Reiner's death, or say Bob Mueller, good riddance. You said you could run through things that Democrats have said? Donald Trump has said: enemy within, communist, marxist, radical thugs, vermin, sick, party of hate, evil..

Donald Trump does not just excuse political violence. He celebrates it when it serves him. When Robert Mueller died, Trump posted: “Good, I’m glad he’s dead.” When Rob Reiner was brutally murdered, Trump said: “I bet he died because he had Trump derangement syndrome.” After Paul Pelosi was hit in the head with a hammer, Trump mocked the attack: “The wall around their house didn’t work so well, did it?” In 2023, he suggested General Mark Milley’s actions were so treasonous they should be punishable by death. He posted an image of himself holding a baseball bat, ready to bludgeon NYC DA Alvin Bragg. He has branded Democrats and former allies as guilty of “treason” and suggested they “could be put to death.” And on January 6, while police were being beaten and his mob chanted “hang Mike Pence,” Trump watched for 187 minutes. This is not politics as usual. This is a monster.

Teddy Roosevelt got shot in the chest and finished a 90-minute speech. Reagan got shot and joked, "Honey, I forgot to duck." Truman survived an attack and kept his Arlington schedule. None of them blamed their critics. None of them built a ballroom.

Is the president going to stop going to MMA fights since they can’t be held in the ballroom? Is he unsafe at the fights? Is he going to demand an arena be built at the WH now? Or…. Is this just about using this bad thing to justify another stupid thing?

Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America. People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate. A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him. Enough is enough.  It is time for ABC to take a stand.  How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.

My family and I watched the 60 Minutes interview with Donald Trump and Norah O’Donnell last night, and we were shocked. Seeing a president speak to a woman journalist with that level of contempt — and a clear allergy to facts — is disturbing, though at this point not unexpected given his pattern of behavior. But that is the problem. Because when that level of disrespect from the highest office in the country repeats itself, it starts to trickle down into our culture and define what power looks like, shaping how boys and plenty of men see women and girls and what they come to accept as normal behavior.
