A big thanks to @rosy_TMO and Thermo Scientific for donating this great instrument for teaching the next generation of diverse mass spectrometrists. I am developing an undergraduate course and plan to start a summer program for students from HSI's and HBCU's.

Putting a pause on family vacation to announce that I’ve been promoted to Associate Professor with #tenure! Starting out in academia, I never dared to think I would become a professor. It was an uphill battle with being first gen, black woman in STEM, and a single parent trainee.

English is my second language. When I moved to the US, I failed chemistry. HS guidance counsel advised me to reconsider majoring in any STEM field. I have a PhD now and my main expertise is Analytical Chemistry.
