Two days ago, my mentee of 3 years was found guilty of conspiracy to commit GBH, alongside 9 other Black boys. He was labelled as a ‘gang’ member, because that is a loaded label which allows a racist police force and prosecution to be lazy in their gathering of evidence (1)
