because scott bessent went out and openly admitted they are started to both dump oil onto the market as well as manipulate the futures contracts. which will only affect the paper price but the shortage will still occur. the price you see is no longer indicative of the market value.

It would be healthy if they stop manipulating the market and let paper oil actually show the real barrel price right now.. so everyone wakes up. The urgency at least in Europe is not present at all in comparison to Pakistan, Vietnam or Thailand.. media is not talking about anything NO IMPLICATIONS at all. But at least everyone knows who is the next reality Dschungel Star, wake up Germany.

US oil and stock market futures open in 7 hours. Markets have yet to react to a ton of new events, including US strikes on Kharg Island and President Trump's global call to militarily open the Strait of Hormuz. However, the war timeline seems to be expanding, as the US is now saying the war will "likely" end within the "next few weeks." This is a vastly different outlook than where we were just six days ago, on March 9th, when President Trump said the war was “very complete.” And, even as the US Navy is preparing to "open" the Strait of Hormuz, shipping activity through the Strait remains near zero. The US has 7 hours to calm oil markets before futures open, or oil prices are heading back above $100/barrel. Prepare for more turbulence.

@badcharts1 Your view is to narrowed. You have to consider, access, supply, distribution and demand and how it changed it since 2005. This is probably the reason why you cannot compare it with gold and silver.

Not sure why $200 crude oil is seen as the Boogeyman. Price compared July 2005 vs today: -> Gold was $425, now over $5000 -> Silver was $7, now over $80 -> Oil was $60, now only $96 It's still one of the cheaper assets. Wake me up when oil is above $500.
