I went to the care home today to retrieve my father’s belongings. This is what was presented to me. I had to ask twice for a private place to sort through it. I said nothing, nor will I name the “care” home. My father’s life was not garbage.

@IrkthePurists the nineties were ok if you had the money to enjoy it. Minimum wage didnt come in until late nineties and i remember jobs advertised in the JC that were paying fifty pounds a WEEK. Workfare was the alternative albeit under a different name.

Thing is, the 90s were mostly rubbish. Especially if you were an adult. The Top Of the Pops repeats don’t lie. BUT (and it’s a big BUT) there was a tangible sense that things would ultimately get better, possibly in the relatively near future. That’s what’s gone.

So, if it's '"Hard to predict who will find it painful" why not adopt the Precautionary Principle and expect that all women will find it painful? Oh yes, we're women and anaesthetists cost money. @wesstreeting

My daughter is still awaiting an emergency MRI scan since last August and has now been told that she will have a three week wait for a blood test! She has Stage 4 endometriosis with cysts and internal bowel/bladder complications; the tablets given to help with pain have massive side effects and she is in a terrible state. @LeeAndersonMP_

@bane_baldy @RITB_ No blue badge either so no parking in disabled spaces. Ppl waiting for hip and knee replacements have to park further away and struggle. Because these conditions are classed as treatable and not permanent

The problem with rationing NHS treatment is very treatable conditions (joint replacements) become lifechanging, disabling, take people out of work & living, can lead to further conditions, depression, suicide, worse outcomes when finally treated.

I’ve been trying to get my 85-year-old mum signed on her GP’s app on her old phone for the last two hours with no luck. Keeps demanding two factor authentication apps which my mum won’t understand or to create a digital ID or passcode. This is digital exclusion.
