Especially from someone who spent a lot of time with Bungie games and was on a podcast for Destiny. It makes it seem like its unauthentic and a paid review.

@TieGuyTravis @MarathonTheGame I watched your review and I understand where you are coming from with some things which as you said a good bit of them have been resolved. I do think it’s kind of on Pearl abyss for not giving you a day one patch of the game because I have had no issues since launch.

@LoPrestige @MarathonTheGame Pretty simple, actually. The Crimson Desert I played was an open-world game with a terrible story, awful controls, bugs that borked my save file, no storage for all your loot, weak puzzles, and janky boss fights and Marathon didn’t have any of that.

@IGN Pretty interesting strategy considering they lost half a billion on the live service push. Literally putting themselves in a box thinking it will work out for them.

@MarathonDevTeam I know this is a server slam and not a full release, but these constant bugs and issues have been plaguing Bungie for years. You need a new QA and testing department. Every release has been like this with no signs of improvement.

As we continue through the test, we wanted to give you a heads-up on what we're seeing: Mouse input causing lag: We've seen reports that the mouse input stops working when players are running any form of streaming software (Discord, OBS, etc.). We've got a solid set of data on this as it stands, but please keep the reports coming. Voice not working in-run: We've heard reports that in-game voice is working fine in the menus, but not inside of runs. We've got some great leads, but keep the reports coming. Names changing to "Redacted": This issue has been resolved! myspace was the greatest social media platform ever made and nobody gives it enough credit. you had to learn basic html and css just to make your page not look terrible. millions of kids were accidentally learning how to code at 14 because they wanted a cooler profile than their friends that was real engagement. you built something. you problem solved. you googled why your background image was broken and figured it out. every platform since then has gone the opposite direction. simpler layouts, fewer options, zero customization to express one’s self. they don’t want you building anything… they want you scrolling. we went from a generation that taught itself code through myspace to a generation that can’t change a font without an app. and somehow we call it “progress” just my opinion.

@DestinyTheGame This information has come a month late. Transparency is all we ask for. I understand the focus being marathon but this radio silence has been a detriment to Destiny player base morale.

Our next Major Update, Destiny 2: Shadow and Order, is undergoing large revisions and will be delayed. This update is being changed and expanded to include sizable quality-of-life updates and as a result, will also be renamed. This update will now launch on June 9, 2026. We will provide exact details closer to release covering previously announced Weapon Tier Upgrading, but also additions like expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities, Pantheon 2.0, Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors, and more. Through June, we will continue to have routine bug fixes and stability improvements, continued portal modifiers, Guardian Games (March), and the return of a more frequent Iron Banner cadence (April). In terms of communications, we will be focusing on providing you with updates about our live game content, community activations, and general upkeep through the TWID and our Destiny social channels.
