I helped take a brand from $0 to $50k/mo in organic revenue in 120 days. No expensive PR firms. No $100k ad spend. Just specific SEO "levers." Here is the exact playbook I used (that you can steal):

Why Roofers lose 30% of leads: Terrible H1 headers. Most sites say 'Quality You Can Trust.' Nobody searches for that. They search 'Roof Repair [City].' Change your H1, change your life. SEO basics just win.

It seems like the easiest way to get REALLY rich... It is to start a service business in your twenties and work on it for 40 years. I think about this all the time

@realEstateTrent Should’ve started them on other stuff. Our daughter is 19 months old and loves steak, eggs, sausage. Lead with savory

@LocalSEODude Exactly. I chose them specifically because they are easily recognizable landscapes around here

Most SEO agencies take anyone with a credit card. We don't. If you fix kitchens, don't call us. We only work with the guys outside: Roofers, Pool Builders, Landscapers, etc. Specialization is a superpower.

Just got my first cold call from someone who was referred to me from a past client. Feels good! Started this trying to emulate @StumpGuyTy but 95%+ of work has been retail. Still trying to crack my first few regular tree sub jobs and hope that that’ll explode my revenue 📈

Your Google Business Profile is not a listing. It's a lead machine. Or a leak. Most home service companies have a leak. Unclaimed categories, zero photos, NAP mismatches, no service area. Fixing that alone moved one client from 13 to 90 GBP clicks in 60 days. Free to fix.

The home service companies dominating Google in your market didn't get lucky. Someone built a technical foundation, wrote content that matches how buyers search, and let it compound. No secret. Just execution most agencies won't do. And time most companies don’t commit.

@tradeschoolpro And I can guarantee there is virtually no one in your area doing SEO for appliance repair. You could own the digital footprint.

Overlooked blue collar job with high income potential: Appliance Repair — $5 billion industry in the US — 10 to 15 appliances in every American home and all of them will break — Aging workforce retiring faster than new techs are coming in — Job ready in months not years — Experienced techs: $42K to $62K a year — High end brand specialists: $65K to $85K+ — Own your own business: $80K to $150K+

@parkerjaysmith Just imagine what SEO would do for him? He’d easily grab 3 more neighborhoods this season at a minimum!

One of the easiest $100K/year home-service businesses I've ever seen was run by a guy named Jim down 3 blocks from my in-laws house… - He lives in a community of about 100 houses (maybe 400 people total) - He built his entire network through word of mouth - He's the go-to handyman for everyone in the neighborhood - He installed Christmas lights for one homeowner and became the Christmas lights guy for all of them - He did a garage door for one of them and became the garage door guy Now do the math. The average household spends around $200 a year on handyman work, so that's $20K from 100 homes. Say 80% of them get holiday lights at $500 a pop, that's another $40K. Add gutter guards and garage doors for 20% of the houses, and you're easily generating $100K/year as a solo operator in a community with only 100 homes in it. On holiday lighting alone, you could do 3 houses a day for 5 weeks and net $50K. You just need to do great work, be easy to refer, and stack services into the same relationships until you're the only name anyone in that neighborhood ever brings up.

Red flags when hiring an SEO agency: – They can't explain what they'll do in plain English – They guarantee page 1 in 30 days – They work with "all industries" – They send a 40-page report instead of a plan – They measure success in rankings, not leads

@LocalSEODude Good analogy. Most trade websites are built to impress but don't answer the three questions every local customer has: what do you do, where do you cover, and how do I get in touch? Get those right first, then SEO has something worth ranking.

A lot of contractor websites are like billboards on a road nobody drives. Pretty. Expensive. Zero traffic. A website without SEO is like a business card you never hand out. SEO forces your customers to acknowledge you.
