@ShawnRiegsecker @julie_kelly2 Stochastic terrorism is academic jibberish. It’s glorified Safe Spaces nonsense invented to quell dissenting voices. Knock it off with that shit, silence *isnt* violence, and neither are words you dislike. If your logic holds, then every lefty who cries “Nazi!” is a “terrorist”

@BrokenMoats @FreightAlley Dude I literally did market analysis and number crunching as a trader/hedger and you're overestimating and overweighting as well as conflating dozens of dissimilar purchases and then pulling a number out of your butt, lol. It will not add up to even .2 across a large basket

Now take that increase to the price of the good to get the inflationary component to the end consumer - 10k lettuce a nice leverage example for the exercise, but even at 60k car versus a $1 head of lettuce the inflation is greater per item in rate of change (inflation) to the lettuce. Now take something that is also small dollar values but not 10k like many CPG products and the inflationary component is there - it's not 10% but it can easily push mid single digits - and thats a problem

@BrokenMoats @FreightAlley Think piece counts. If a truck runs a car for $1000, but then charges 2k, you've got a 100% rise. If a van pulling 10,000 head of lettuce doubles from 2k to 4k, that's a 0.2% rise.

Do you have data to support that claim? And perhaps in aggregate there is some directional truth to that. But certain categories like food I imagine would have a significantly higher transmission rate. And that feedback to inflation and the psychology to the consumer would be a lot more damaging

@FreightAlley At the CPI level? I'd be astounded if it even registered 0.1% The smaller volume freight that runs high dollar is already loaded onto more expensive trucks. High piece count stuff is 80% of the market that would see the shipping $ rise. High piece count equals lower $per item

@Mattyxy @InezFeltscher PS? This "moron" saved almost 500k, 70-80k on premiums alone, when I finally DID breach the deductible after 7yrs. Cash pay for each childs birth was under $1000 This "moron" worked in the finance world and did analysis you've never even heard of

@Mattyxy @InezFeltscher Most people were pregnant? Fascinating take And hey crazy lady? Pregnancy is covered in HSAs 👍 Cash pricing is 20-30% of billable bc everything has to be inflated in a discount system in order to cover costs and make a profit. I'm not even sure wtf you're getting at, lol

@InezFeltscher Catastrophic insurance basically isn't insurance. That's why it was effectively banned. Most consumers don't understand how it would work and therefore it's not fit to sell.

So, is the Somali fraud in Minnesota just apart of the history books now? Zero accountability. Hundreds of millions of views. Government officials with PROVEN involvement. Nothing ever happens.

@Mattyxy @InezFeltscher lol, no 98%+ never hit deductibles there sparky. In 2011 I insured a family of 5 with an HSA, 100% after deductible, for $345 "Most of us had preexisting conditions" is just a retarded lie 😂😂

@InezFeltscher Haha. No. Thats not how it worked for most people. Most people had pre-existing conditions and lifetime limits that Insurance companies used to deny coverage regularly. Signed an adult in 2009.

@InezFeltscher @philthatremains HSAs were the path... made too much sense and saved everyone too much money tho. Threatened the entire "discount" paradigm that all insurance coverage is based on that in turn creates the ridiculous monthly cost
