@Locobooff @Rivian Yup, it absolutely should've had. I think the current system should be the base audio (like it was more or less with Gen1), and there should be a higher tier as an option for dual motors, standard on tri/quad.

Imagine spending >$120k on a quad motor @Rivian and finding the sound system so sub par you’re considering DIY solutions or a new vehicle.
This is why trust needs to be earned on R2 audio, and it needs to be GREAT.

@TravisKetchum @Rivian Well, my car came with premium audio due to the trim level I picked. So, it should’ve really been premium. But, if they had a real “platinum” audio package that was actually amazing? I would’ve easily paid another 3-7K to get it from the factory.

@TravisKetchum @Rivian They should’ve had a Bose system or something. Or have real audio engineers. Look at Teslas in house system. It kicks ass, but it’s very well tuned by people that actually know what they’re doing.

I could very well sell the car or bought something else all together. But, the rest of the car is phenomenal.

@TravisKetchum @Rivian I have a Gen 2 Quad and paid well over 120K. But, I knew the audio was bad before taking delivery. I also have no problem paying another 3-5K for a aftermarket solution. So, to me that lets you know how great the rest of the car is. 1of2

@RivianTrackr They had no Ocean Coast (it’s light gray everyone, not white) on the launch edition gen 2 Quads.
Do they do this because the light gray (ocean coast and costal cloud) is more sought after? So they know they can get people to pay extra for it?

Rivian has published an official story confirming what I wrote about a few days ago. No Forest Green or Borealis at launch. No white interior.
