@dtsay56 It's quite simple really. The best team at an event shouldnt lose a series. If you win an event, you're supposed to be the best team. This is why having such a strong WB advantage IS fair. The loser bracket team is getting a second wind. Why shouldnt the WB team who hasnt lost?

Good conversation on Finals format - this is essentially showing the impact of the bracket reset. While we all agree the Winner’s Bracket team deserves an advantage, our position has been that having two lives in the Finals is too big of an edge and this data seems to reinforce that. WB teams winning 80% of the time entering the Finals can dampen the excitement: 1) The outcome seems predetermined and 2) during the match it's not as intense since it's not do-or-die for the WB team during a large portion of the match. Now should there be a bigger advantage for WB? Potentially (e.g., 1 map win). But we don’t think a bracket reset is the answer. Winning 4x as much (vs the 2nd best team no less) seems imbalanced and I’d argue that the now 60/40 split between winner of WB and LB is much healthier

@dtsay56 "Having 2 lives in the final." Meanwhile every other team including the team that came from losers bracket had a 2nd life. See the issue there. Being punished for being the better team throughout the tournament makes no sense at all
