Lyft has an option for women to exclusively match with only "women and nonbinary drivers." So women wanting only women drivers can still be paired with a MAN, as long as the man says he's "nonbinary” 😂

@AuthorGFAllen I wish that when they did provide summaries they didn't include spoilers! It's so frustrating reading book summaries that actually give away the whole ending.

I wish books had summaries on the back again instead of reviews. I just want a quick idea of what the book’s about before I decide if I want to read it.

This is the poem that made me realize I needed this book in my home. I can't stop rereading it and imagining where the author's mind must have been. A samurai who avenged the death of his master and was then ordered to commit ritual suicide. And before said suicide, he wrote this. What a remarkable human being this must have been. Japanese death poetry is the genre I did not know I needed.

Had slight decision paralysis as far as chooosing a new book to read. Maybe I was still even mourning Jack's story from the last book. So I decided to wander a book store for more books I absolutely didn't need and found this treasure. A collection of Japanese poems...written by authors shortly before their deaths. The genre is called "jisei" and these are some of the most haunting and beautiful poems I've ever read.

Gained nearly 1.5k new followers today for doing something I should’ve done long ago.. I scrolled my county jail website, took screenshots of a dozen hispanics listed as White and I called the jail to let them know we’re onto their wicked scheme. It took 20 mins and minimal effort. We can actually just do things.

@Timcast I never choose the woman driver option because I don't have a way to filter for actual women vs cross dressers.

A couple Timcast staff got a female driver earlier this year. My understanding is that she drove into oncoming traffic illegally and smashed into by a van and left my team with serious injuries

There’s a critical moment from around age 4 to 6 where kids can memorize pretty much anything they hear if it’s repeated every day. It’s a short window, but the most important books need to go in it. Children can process beauty. It’s not all Baby Shark.

My next book will be my prison novel.

I made arrangements with a local coffee shop. First meeting will be next month to give people a chance to buy the book and read the first 8 chapters (about 50pgs). Let's see how many people show up!

Thinking of starting a book club in my area and making Camp of the Saints the first read. I figure it would be a good way to filter for open-minded friends.
