I see thousands of games being released every week, good ones. Now we have Palworld too competing for the attention and winning. Also GTA coming very soon too. How is anyone hyped about releasing a game on this competitive market?

@majidmanzarpour @threejs Why don't you try crazygames or poki? They can give you a lot more organic traffic than fighting with the x and reddit algos.

Launched my co-op ARPG web game a few weeks ago, built 100% with AI development workflows in @threejs 2000+ players, 200k+ enemies defeated, 5500+ waves Today a 2-player group spent 2 hours clearing dungeon mode! All the traffic is organic from X and Reddit.

@Mortdog I have been building games for my whole life now and I probably spend over 20k on assets, tooling and freelance work. But recently it's getting a lot cheaper than before for a lot higher quality due to AI and competetion.

One of the most daunting parts of making my own little side project so far, as been my inexperience with budgets/costs, especially on the indie side of things. What's a reasonable price to pay for localization help? What would it cost to hire an artist to make a bunch of 2D pictures? What if I wanted to make a 30 second animation? How much to edit trailers? etc. It's just a blind spot for me right now since I haven't had to think about that too much before. But it is also exciting learning new aspects of the industry and expanding my experience beyond my typical "Make game good" expertise. Learning new things is fun!

Stack: FABLE (@AnthropicAI's new model) via @claudeai Code + three.js + Blender + ffmpeg. Cost: a few dollars in API credits. The original cost 5 years and my sanity. Yeah it's still far off from the original but what happens when 2 -3 more new version come after fable?

5 years building my MMO, solo. As an experiment, FABLE rebuilt it in under 3 hours — my own Blender animations, its own engine, playable in a browser. It even nailed flying. My old engine never could. 5 years vs 3 hours:

My experience w the new 500 highly-engaged players requirement: 4.5 day. Beta mode ON. Visits, CCU, Ads in ss. 500 HEP. I don't have a complete grasp on metrics, still new. But so far this req seems btr than the one a month ago (vague bar with no numbers) #Roblox #RobloxDev
