Itโs good to see people fulfilling Captain Tom Mooreโs last wishes after his sad passing. Printing his face onto minibuses for rent in Barry must have been pretty high on that list!
@ichy_vagenda@IoloWilliams2 I'd say jackdaws, they regularly do this over my flat and can often be heard shouting down my chimney! I love the cheeky little buggers ๐
So, I haven't posted about my daughter for a while. She's having a very hard time at the moment. Full on radiotherapy and chemotherapy the 2nd time around(after a 2nd major op)is taking it's toll. Feeling a bit helpless as I can't do anything apart from be there ๐ชโคโคโค๐
OMG, after 2 days of constant pinging from FB I dropped in to turn alerts off from a certain group that an acquaintance runs, linked to the demise of a certain man this week...can you imagine my reaction when faced with a portrait of the man made out of dog hair by a groomer!
@Andino1974@swanseajamie Triple cooked chips here...and as for the frying I am proper old school! Followed my beautiful Gran by frying in lard, I don't have chips often so I'm not bothered that I'm not using oil. It's like a blast from the past for me.
@Andino1974@swanseajamie Ive bought a chip basket from Wilko and use a spare saucepan for my chips...if you're having chips they have to be proper chips! Just don't ask what they are fried in lol
@swanseajamie The chips are 90p oven chips from Tesco done in the fryer. The green bit is some whole green beans.
Seriously, everyone should own a fryer or chip pan. Game changer for the modern oven chip generation.
@IrishUnity@YescymruM And lied about the inhabitants, saying there was no settled community on the archipelago, just transient workers. They have been told to hand back the land to the Chagossians but are refusing.
A UN has court has ruled Britain has no sovereignty over Chagos islands.
The Chagos Islanders were forcibly removed by Britain to make way for a US military base. The British described the islanders as "Tarzans".
They also gassed over 1,000 of the Islanders pet dogs.
@Most_Sublime@Penbrynhir I think it's something relating to hiding any leftovers or hiding their presence from predators...they would do this in the wild I guess.
#cat owner question - is is regular cat behaviour to scratch by a food bowl to mark the end of a meal?
Not excessively, just to declare a meal โdoneโ.
