400,000 amazing users, great employees and 4 years of hard work comes to a close 💔 My dream was to run a EU compliant marketplace, I did, but ultimately it did not work out. Ups and downs, loads of obstacles, some completely out of our control, but ultimately it ends like this. Spent a huge amount of time and money over the last years- but at least I walk away with mostly good memories, friendships and a lot of valuable lessons I am proud of the product we build & proud of the way we chose to operate in this space Thank you to everyone who helped along the way, for the kind words & the support and selflessness from many people in the space. Dear users, It’s with a heavy heart that we share these very important news. SkinBid’s journey ends here. What was a very hard, but fun 4-year road stops. SkinBid ApS (the company behind SkinBid.com) has been placed under bankruptcy proceedings on the 21st of November 2025, in accordance with Danish law. Our site will, of course, remain usable to allow everyone to withdraw their balance and items. Withdrawals must be completed by the 5th of December 2025, so please prioritize completing withdrawals. My time at @GamerPayGG has come to an end, and I want to express my sincere gratitude for the amazing journey we had together ❤️ After finishing my chemotherapy, GamerPay helped me to return to a normal life again. Being told at the age of 25 that you have cancer in an advanced stage changes everything. It makes you rethink your life, your priorities, and what truly matters. I promised myself that as long as I have the choice, I will only work in a place where I can fully stand behind the company and the people. GamerPay gave me exactly that. Not only great working conditions, but also trust, support, and a team that made me feel valued from day one. I especially want to thank @zukwizCS. He didn’t just give me the opportunity to join he also supported me in every way. I’m grateful to now call him not only a former boss, but a friend ❤️ His skills, his way of working and especially his idea of leading was very inspiring ❤️ I’m incredibly thankful for the time we shared, the laughs, the challenges, and the memories. I’m happy (and somewhat emotional) to share that we’ve sold @GamerPayGG. What started as a small payment solution launched in a CS Facebook group has turned into a fully fledged marketplace that’s served hundreds of thousands of players and processed over a quarter of a billion kroner! I couldn’t be happier that GamerPay will continue operating under the ambitious game studio, @SocialFirst_. They share the same passion for gaming, real-money trading of in-game items, and has a community-first approach that we built GamerPay on. These past four years building GamerPay have been the most intense, thrilling, and rewarding years of my professional life. There were countless ups and downs – far too many to list – but getting into @ycombinator was a clear milestone that catapulted the company into an important phase. Still, what tops everything is the people and the friendships that I’ve gotten via the CS trading community. The shared passion made this journey unforgettable, and there are simply too many people here to mention. Even the sale itself or any financial success along the way doesn’t compare to that. Remember: Everyone who sold their skins instantly after the update will have balance ready on the 30th. There needs to be a huge sell-off of new skins to counter that buying power... Call me crazy, but wouldn't be surpriced if the marketcap goes up >10% on the 30th.
