Turns out making almost the entire cast gay is not a successful plan. I’m saying this as a gay man! Please go back to 1990’s style Star Trek! @StarTrekOnPPlus make content for the fans you have and not the fans you want. Your audience is predominantly straight Gen X men… do you think they want woke content? Even Millennial and Gen Z men don’t want woke content… Star Trek will ALWAYS be predominantly watched by straight men. If the content is divisive, the audience is dividing. Upsetting news to hear #StarTrek Starfleet Academy will not go past Season 2. The fandom's inability to embrace any new storytelling outside of nostalgia might as well be the death knell for the fandom.
