@Cad_lib @Puritan1646 @ReallyOldLife But does it tell us to abandon all political tools to non-Christian philosophies? We don't coerce our children to faith but persuade them, but we still discipline them when they violate God's commands and instruct them in the true faith. It's the second use of the law.

@LordWillingham @Puritan1646 @ReallyOldLife God’s word doesn’t tell us to pursue the kingdom by political tools because it does not come that way. Gospel lives in era of common grace that men be persuaded and not coerced. No apostolic command to make a “Christian nation” to compete against other nations.

this is more Christian nationalist than Christian nationalist adjacent. Protect and promote Protestantism. That's affirmative action. Are Protestants that weak?

Virtually no one in America in the 19th ce Conceived of a political & social order devoid of religion. What's more, the religion which they assumed was necessary & ought 2b protected & promoted was Protestant Christianity @RevKevDeYoung , Forward, @IVMiles Religion & Republic

@ReallyOldLife @Cad_lib @Puritan1646 Yes, and they were...Protestants? Who maintained Protestant governments? But I guess they were giving affirmative action to those weak Protestants in Geneva and Scotland, and they should instead have embraced religious pluralism because you can't favor the true church of Christ.

@Cad_lib @Puritan1646 @ReallyOldLife Aristotle and Cicero were B.C. and lived during the time of the theocratic kingdom, which was intended to be a reflection of God's righteous and wise rule that even pagans could look to and behold God's goodness. I'm no theonomist, but why prefer them over God's word?

Praise the Lord for his kind Providence in granting us a nation in which we can worship him freely. I'm grateful to live in a place so shaped by godly forefathers and biblical wisdom; may the Lord continue to raise up generations who love him and love this place. Happy 250th! 🇺🇸

@LordTemplar1 @WojoKen If no one is standing, then calling the question is unnecessary, because the vote will proceed. By your standard, the question should never be called. The whole point is that it ends debate which may drag on unnecessarily or unhelpfully.

@WojoKen I think its rude to call for the question while folks are still standing and you shouldn't apologize for that belief.

I've recently made some tweets directed at a brother who was attempting to call the question multiple times. While I disagree with a couple of times he attempted this, some of my comments were not correct and I assumed motive. I have apologized to him and deleted the tweets.

Seems that we could have some sort of digital form for Nominating Committee in which we could select all our choices all at once rather than one tedious vote at a time. Would need a way to verify voting eligibility. #pcaga

If a man wanted to allow adultery for artistic or didactic purposes, we would find his view intolerable. Why do we apply a different standard to the 2nd commandment than to the 7th?

In most cases, we need better training on our BCO rather than a better BCO. If the BCO seems unclear, it may be that you just need glasses.

I’m excited to share a first look at Pasture — a new app designed specifically for iPhone and built to help pastors, elders, and church leaders care for the flock with greater intentionality. Daily follow-ups. Care logs. Focused care. Prayer tracking. Widgets. Milestone reminders. Coming soon. Follow to keep up. Beta testing starts after @PCAGA.

Nothing screams masculinity like chronically nagging people on the internet, always weighing in on the latest drama which you helped to create, and taking every post in its worst possible light because you don't like exactly how it was said. You're a continual dripping of rain.
