The new "bro flair" phenomenon (Lapel Pin Nationalism) represents a sort of self-expression and signaling more appropriate to insecure teenagers dividing into cliques than to serious churchmen seeking to welcome and care for all kinds sheep.

this is more Christian nationalist than Christian nationalist adjacent. Protect and promote Protestantism. That's affirmative action. Are Protestants that weak?
George Sayour@GeorgeSayour

Virtually no one in America in the 19th ce Conceived of a political & social order devoid of religion. What's more, the religion which they assumed was necessary & ought 2b protected & promoted was Protestant Christianity @RevKevDeYoung , Forward, @IVMiles Religion & Republic

Lots of people telling me The Odyssey is a terrible film on the basis of not having seen it… FWIW, I’ve now watched it twice, and it is by some way the best cinematic adaptation of a Greek myth I have ever seen. It honours Homer while simultaneously making something new of him
Tom Holland@holland_tom

@Casey88428138 Christopher Nolan’s fascination with time, homecomings, narrative complexity and the moral ambiguities of heroism make him the perfect director for The Odyssey

In 13 years of ministry I've preached/taught extensively or fully on 25 books of the Bible. I think my top 3 are Ecclesiastes, 1 Thessalonians, and James.

Because I operate under my real name on here and play a more “normalizing” role on the right, I’ll say a couple things about PF. 1. Covering up one’s identity in the midst of hostile enemies is an ancient tactic of prudence when wanting to stand up for one’s principles, yet stay guarded and protect yourself and your family. Not only does the National Guard and ICE mask up, but so did the Boston Tea Party, while dissident writers during the American Revolution (Ben Franklin) and also under the Soviet Union used pseudonyms to protect their identity. People who challenge the Leftwing regime are liable to get doxxed, debanked, fired, kids kicked out of activities, removed from churches, and have their lives ruined. For having the same opinions their ancestors did. 2. They’ve never done anything illegal or violent. In fact, they’ve only done major community service initiatives at cost to themselves. 3. There is no evidence of them being feds or fronts for the SPLC or anything like that. This is completely made up. In fact, I know some people involved and I trust what they tell me and I’m impressed by how they manage their opsec and the personal standards by which they conduct themselves. 4. Hard times are coming. Extraordinary times are coming. Boomer conservative types have always imagined themselves banning together in heroic ways to defeat some enemy (Communists, Jihadists, etc) when the time comes. But this doesn’t just happen on the spot when things break down. They could happen only after spending years getting to know each other and training and having some sort of strategic plan of action. Enemies are all around us. Liberalism is not going to last our lifetimes. You think 100 million deportations are going to just happen like a fairy tale? What do you think is actually required if things break down to defend yourself and your communities? If there’s a financial crisis or a famine and 120 million foreigners are in a contest with you for food and property, what’s going to happen? What happens if the Democrats win in 2028? What happens if there’s a left wing consolidation of military power? What are local conservative patriotic sheriffs going to do? They should be thinking about this. They should have an open line to community defense organizations. Too many people are operating on a completely expired paradigm. Support young white men defending the country they love and peacefully going about their demonstrations with integrity and passion. Postwar Liberalism was not the end of History. History is coming back. Be prepared. Trump’s Golden Age is just good marketing, it’s not inevitable. Patriot Front has done nothing wrong and they seem operate with discipline, integrity, patriotism, and moral clarity about their goals. They fly American flags.

He blocked me because I exposed his Yankee propaganda. Lee came from aristocracy by blood, but his father was a deadbeat with a massive debt problem leaving his mother in siblings in the lower middle class. Biographer Michael Korda states that Lee's intention was to farm.
Doub13Dd@Doub13Dd

@Puritan1646 @MBLinton Lee was never going to “be a farmer” lmao… He was a member of the privileged class that dominated the political, social, and economic realities of the society he lived in. Not only was Lee a slave owner, but he was also known at the time to be a harsh and cruel one at that.

Brilliant post by @lecrae! Sadly, the YRR movement was a pietistic and revivalist movement. They have never been good at Christian social thought. Had these rappers by formed by Kuyper/Bavinck theologians rather than the Puritan lovers, this wouldn't been a different story.

@realmikolson The Scottish Presbyterian position that Christ is both King of his Kingdom of Grace (church) and Kingdom of Power (All governments). As such both owe allegiance and obedience to him, but have distinct roles in society.
