As someone who has his family name on the original one in Paris, I'm fairly certain the concept of a triumphal arch implies the existence of a triumph. Although I think we're sadly at a stage where we've collectively agreed to treat the most powerful man on earth the way you treat a five-year-old who says he's a dragon.

@Jordan_Rivers_1 @SKmacro @tparsi I'm not in the business of killing. If YOU are, better stop advocating publicly for the violation of the Geneva Convention, which is part of the US Field Manual and similar regulations.

This video of Israel soldiers casually throwing what appears to be a Palestinian youth off from the roof of a building has shocked the world. Look how comfortable they walk away after throwing the youth to his death. As if they have done it 100s of times before.

@ShoahUkraine He fell from grace in the West around 2000 because of "200 years together". Today, he's embraced in Russia by some for the anti-soviet writings - and in the West by some for his antisemitism. Says more about our f* up ideologies than him.

Yes, I have! You mean the same Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn who was successfully treated for cancer while he was in the Gulag? What an oppressive regime that gives you life-saving medical care. Is that the same guy who called the October Revolution a "Jewish invasion" of Russia and denied that any Jews served on the front lines, despite well over 250,000 Jews serving in the Red Army during World War II and 150 of them even receiving the Hero of the Soviet Union for their service during the Great Patriotic War? The same guy who used the term "Judeo-Bolshevism" and said he understood why the Russian Liberation Army fought for Hitler? You mean this same guy would also defame the Red Army? No way! 😉😀

@RusBotschaft #ZweiterWeltkrieg #Geschichte

@Jordan_Rivers_1 @SKmacro @tparsi Your idea of combat is more despicable than the IDF's - they called it "not conform w our values", the White House "abhorrent". bbc.com/news/articles/… There's tons of video evidence of driving over dead bodies, dragging dead behind jeeps, digging up whole cementries. So f off.

France says they want to play a leadership role in the Middle East. Let them start in their former (Christian-majority) colony/mandate of Lebanon. France should disarm Hezbollah. Beirut was the Paris of the Middle East until Jordan threw out the radical, violent PLO, which took over southern Lebanon in the 1970s. It was called Black September and it led to a 20-year civil war between Christians and Muslims in Lebanon. The Muslims largely won. Then came Iran and southern Lebanon and much of Beirut became home to Iran’s proxy militia, Hezbollah. If France wants to be useful, Macron should send in his military to help the Lebanese Army disarm Hezbollah, as required by UN resolution 1701. Why should Israel have to disarm Hezbollah? France wants to play a leading role. France claims it has a strong military. This is their chance to do something other than issue a communique. Let France lead the fight. Help Lebanon and get rid of Hezbollah. (The sad truth is France is too weak to do it, no one trusts them, and they’d rather issue statements than do anything concrete.)

@EmmanuelMacron Israel’s strikes were not “indiscriminate.” They were aimed solely at Hezbollah targets. For you to apply some kind of moral equivalence or make such charges against Israel, are not only unfounded and unconscionable, but tantamount to incitement of further terror against Israel.

I have just spoken with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Prime Minister Nawaf Salam. I expressed France’s full solidarity in the face of the indiscriminate strikes carried out by Israel in Lebanon today, which resulted in a very high number of civilian casualties. We condemn these strikes in the strongest possible terms. They pose a direct threat to the sustainability of the ceasefire that has just been reached. Lebanon must be fully covered by it. I reiterated the need to preserve Lebanon’s territorial integrity and France’s determination to support the efforts of the Lebanese authorities to uphold the country’s sovereignty and implement the Hezbollah disarmament plan.
