He taught the curriculum K-12 and if a kid acted up all he had to say was “Do I need to talk to Leonard?” Problem solved. Communities and public schools go hand in hand. No need for private.

Sorry, who can afford to pay thousands of dollars/year for private school other than wealthy people?! Why should taxpayers subsidize special schools for wealthy people? They can pay their own way for that.

@jennAA2014 Not so. This makes the private schools affordable for those who otherwise would not have access to them, to the public at large instead of the rich few. It enables school choice for everyone.

The fact that this trade is disliked by many Habs fans and at the same time shot down as not enough for Matthew Knies, suggests its a fair-ish deal.
Knies is a 60 point 6'3 230 pound 23 y/o winger that hits about 170 times per season. He makes 7.75 million for 5 more years.

With Lane it was still unproven. Noone knew for sure that his skills would translate to the NHL.
By the time his brother was getting drafted, Lane had already played a couple games in the NHL and we all saw how it translated just fine.

Here’s the thing about the book banning: it’s a thin edge of a wedge issue. No, I wouldn’t have wanted my kids to look at those types of images, but we would go *with* them to the library. However, first it’s these images, but what next? Which other books will be ‘unacceptable’?

@FiftyFootNest I don't think teachers are overtly bias, but almost all teachers are liberals, and trended more and more over the decades. So the spectrum of views is a spectrum of liberal, and becomes an unconscious bias that proliferates through the system.

Let's make something clear with Bill 25.
Teachers are still allowed to talk about political science, current events etc.
But it must be presented in a neutral and balanced way free from personal bias.
Schools should teach kids how to think not what to think.

@nicolasstonge1 @willr993 The team has gone to great lengths to bring in players of strong character. They also spend a good amount of time educating them on usage of social media. As expectations on the team increase, so will the scrutiny. No need to exacerbate that by being an asshat in public.

I have no idea what happened to Mitch Gallo in his personal life, but he was always interesting to hear to his opinion. The last year he’s gone off the deep end. He’s aggressive and very defensive if you challenge his opinion. He wasn’t like that before. Divorce? Depression? 🤷♂️
