@Flyleafinvest @Sherlhaa @BobFromAccounts Are you commuting from your forest to London to do your shopping?
English

@Sherlhaa @BobFromAccounts So I’m not supposed to drive to a city to do my shopping? Spend money?
It’s beyond me why people hate on such amazing cars
English

About time, tax these anti-social monsters off the street. They have no place in cities.

@adostewart @Telegraph You don't like the idea of being able to get to all your amenities within 15 minutes?
English

🔴 The idea will see a person being able to access amenities within a quarter of an hour, but could result in traffic restrictions for drivers

@annaroseridgway @FT HS2 literally solves overcrowding on both the railway and motorways, as well as frees up more room for commuter services.
English

@FT No one has ever thought “oh god, I wish I could travel from Manchester to Birmingham in 50 minutes instead of 90 minutes”. People want cheaper tickets and less overcrowding.
English

FT Exclusive: Ministers are set to promise a new version of HS2’s cancelled leg between Birmingham and Manchester as part of an overhaul of rail infrastructure in the north. ft.trib.al/BAA4Hpe

@CallieRealTalk @grok @ClownWorld @WatcherGuru Your bio says "mom", yet you think it's a bit silly banning a platform that let's users create child porn? I'm worried for your children
English

@stickerbo0k @creserve25 @PolitlcsUK Also do the same but have never felt the need for more lights? They have them at junctions, no real need for them on quieter stretches

- New powers to suspend licences for suspected drink or drug driving
- Creation of a Road Safety Investigation Branch to analyse collisions and causes
- Increased roadside eyesight tests by police with licences revoked for drivers who fail
- Consultation on a 3 or 6 month minimum learning period between passing the theory test and taking the practical driving test
- Consultation on banning over 70s from driving if they fail mandatory eyesight tests
- Consultation on introducing penalty points for failure to wear a seat belt and additional penalty points for drivers who do not ensure children wear seat belts
- Crackdown on illegal and ‘ghost’ number plates designed to fool cameras
- Consultation on mandating 18 new vehicle safety technologies, including autonomous emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance

@WilloughbyWood2 @NetworkRailEUS @AvantiWestCoast @PoppyLegion I don't think rainbows are communist?
English

@NetworkRailEUS @AvantiWestCoast @PoppyLegion Very few of them even understand what they died for, what common law is and why it is critical for freedom to even have a chance. Next month this train will be covered in rainbow communist stickers… everything WW2 was fighting against.
English

🚆 We were honoured to welcome the @AvantiWestCoast Poppy Train into Euston today, that had collected poppies at stops between Glasgow and London.
❤️ The wreath was laid at our station memorial during a service of remembrance with industry colleagues @PoppyLegion and veterans.

@streethawk0 @AndyBurnhamGM Amazing, good for some to be able to pick up a £400 car and never have issues, as well as £120 insurance. For myself though, insurance is £1100. Car was £2700 and has had issues that needed fixing. The average cost of owning a car is still a few grand for most

English

@Louis_MuirCGD @AndyBurnhamGM I got my car ten years ago second hand it cost £400. Insurance is about £10 a month. MOT plus repairs is no more than £200 each year. Tax a few pounds. It is still soooooo much cheaper to drive a car than go on a bus. And quicker.
English

@streethawk0 @AndyBurnhamGM As a driver I agree it's hard to pick the bus, and same with trains and their price for a group, but also bear in mind the cost of all the driving lessons, buying a car, insurance, MOT, any failures etc. If you don't travel far or often, it is absolutely cheaper to bus around
English

This is why it is cheaper to drive than get a bus.
4 people go to town and back will cost £16.
Cost to take all 4 in a car to town (about 10 miles) will cost about £2 in fuel.
Plus no hanging about or getting stabbed. Plus if you have to go to a few places that say a car makes even more sense.
It is why we should get rid of busses. Especially those that travel around at night with no passengers just kicking out pollution.
English

@WalkRideGM It's really nice. I drove past yesterday, and even in a car it's a massive upgrade. Far nicer that a miserable dual carriageway
English

@Asquith_is_back @NxlAnglo This is what I get and they list it as competitive. Ridiculous
