Our team is thrilled to share that @OctopusEnergy is set to invest $500M into Living Carbon’s reforestation projects across the U.S., plus ~$13M in our growing carbon removal business. Our flagship carbon project alone will absorb roughly the equivalent of San Francisco's annual emissions. This funding allows us to x10 our work on up to 250,000 acres across America. In bonkers news, the absolute maniacs of @OverviewEnergy just demo’d their space-energy-to-Earth tech stack by successfully beaming infrared power from a plane in the sky to a solar receiver on the ground. Solar power 24/7 from orbit is getting inevitabler and inevitabler.
