Our meeting with Mr Alan Kasujja @kasujja, the new Executive Director of the Uganda Media Centre, was an important milestone in enhancing the strategic collaboration between the Uganda Communications Commission and the government's main information agency. In an era of rapidly evolving communication dynamics, collaboration between the regulator and the Media Centre is essential for fostering a coherent national narrative. Our discussions focused on a shared vision for improved inter-agency coordination to ensure that government priorities are communicated with the clarity needed to maintain public trust. We further explored the imperative of digital transformation, focusing on the integration of emerging technologies to broaden the reach and efficacy of public information dissemination. Furthermore, we reaffirmed a mutual commitment to advancing professionalism within the media sector by upholding rigorous standards in journalism and public broadcasting. With his extensive international expertise, Mr Kasujja is well-positioned to contribute to this mission. I am confident that this collaboration will result in a more robust and effective communication ecosystem that serves the best interests of all Ugandans.
