If you’d like to enjoy an impossibly hip 5-minute clip of me and my friend @ntschk kibitzing about #ArtAndAI over the sacred ritual of coffee—voilà! Gratitude to @runwayml’s Creative Dialogue series for capturing this conversation on ‘keeping it weird’🙏🙃
Runway@runwayml

Creative Dialogues Episode 3: The Periphery A conversation between Claire Hentschker (@ntschk) & Golan Levin (@golan) exploring the richly multidimensional space of AI and the need to push beyond using paint right out of the tube. Catch up on all episodes at creativedialogues.com

On the prototyping team at @figma, we have an ever-growing list of "squeaky stairs" -- those small inconsistencies that may not be the most important priority, but bother us enough that we can't help ourselves from fixing them.

Also, wanted to shoutout a new quality-of-life feature that's launching today: "Select matching interactions!"

Such stellar work from my team! There was so much complexity in this one.

BIG launch today for Prototyping in @figma: State management! Interactive components, scrolling frames, and videos now all memorize their last visited state, and you get more control over when the state is shared or when it should be reset. Let's dig in.

@miketuritzin @msfeldstein @jlfwong High confidence definitely seems to be the default! Was able to build a tiny app this morning though that easily would've been 3-4x as long without.

@msfeldstein @jlfwong I wish it did, but from my experience it either says "I can't answer that" or presents an answer as absolute fact with total confidence

Trying a simpler version of yesterday's question, and ChatGPT is still getting it wrong. And no matter how much I try to get it see the error of its ways, it doubles down on its original answer (and somewhat passive-aggressively implies the question wasn't stated correctly, heh).

My daughter informs me that over the past two days kids on TikTok have made a completely player-generated, decentralized game where people buy things with "doubloons."

Protip to anyone wanting low latency, high sample rate pointer events in their web apps. Especially useful in drawing apps for smoother strokes. New in Chrome/Firefox is PointerEvent.getCoalescedEvents(). Gets you more position samples. Blue dots are positions you miss without it
