Bf was invited to the Freemasons and went to a couple of their meetings. He said it was kinda just a men's club with a bunch of well-to-do white dudes dressing up, doing ceremonial stuff like special handshakes and singing songs and doing money collections for charity/business stuff. Don't really wanna use the word "cronyism" but networking seems to be a huge part of it too, with members having an obligation to help one another, whether that's in terms of financial matters, business, personal pursuits etc. He also said there was a women's lodge that I could maybe join if he became a member of the men's one :')
