@medicaccountant I couldn’t agree more about the ease of getting around London on public transport compared with Cornwall. It’s entertaining to ask Google maps to give the public transport option. As an example it would take 4 hours 24 minutes to get to a National Trust property 23 miles away!

I hope Londoners don’t complain about their transport system. Spent 4 days getting round to the city with simple payment, regular connections & ease. Now trying to get home to the north … chaos.

We suggested that the AA compensation scheme should be extended 2 years ago on @MedicsMoney Podcast with @stevewebb1. Could foresee issues back then. 100% support this move.

2/We recommend that this temporary measure is extended over the next 2 to 3 years until more formal changes to legislation are achieved. The increase in activity needed to overcome the backlog will be impossible without such a step.

@gdcuk When you say retire do you mean stop work, or just opt-out of the pension scheme? End of McCloud transition period on 31/03/22 might have been the trigger point for some to stop contributions.

I've just received some data that shows an alarming increase in NHS pension members retiring in April (More to follow, once I've reviewed the info) Workforce retention will get significantly worse unless we start addressing the issues (CPI disconnect, Abatement, -ve Growth)
