It’s called a marriage certificate and when I misplaced mine it cost me $6 to get a copy. This argument is stupid in order to change our name we had to have a marriage certificate with us at the license branch, every credit card required us to turn in a copy of our marriage license. All married women know we need a copy. I also reordered a new birth certificate bc mine was falling apart I got two copies for $26 mailed to my home over a 1000 miles away from where I was born. $32 and I could have saved $6 if I had not gotten a second copy. So $26 it cost me $20 to go to the court house to get one copy of my birth certificate plus gas to get there. I did all of this from my desk over a 1000 miles away. We need a birth certificate for a job, to get our license, enroll kids in school get government benefits no adult should not have an ID and their birth certificate.
