Nobody is skeptical of autonomous elevators because nobody alive today was even around to see a human elevator operator in real life before the last one got laid off. Automation is far safer.

Most Chinese boys end up picking basketball star names so you can tell what years they started learning English, also funny to see them identify with Blacks

One of the worst things that came with the destruction of American urban life in the 1960s was the general destruction of most city clubs. That made life and being a professional far worse
Lawyers, bankers, etc. used to be able to just walk over to the city club and meet with some like-minded, socio-economically similar friends for a few drinks at lunch or after work. The city clubs were pleasant, had nice atmospheres, and the membership requirement kept out most of the ne'er-do-wells
That was destroyed by the destruction of cities, as the places the professionals were generally moved and the city clubs didn't move, and in any case professional life got far busier. And, as with most things, what survived the period wasn't really the same afterwards, as it was made far less genteel by the pressures of the time
Bringing back a pace of life and sense of order that works with these sorts of city clubs would be a huge improvement for America

Gen Zers and millennials are swimming in student debt and may never own homes, but they’re splurging on gut-healthy juices and rotisserie chickens. on.wsj.com/3OjPW6M

@mjdemarinis My four years at Creighton we never made the NCAA tournament. They were the NIT/CIT/CBI dark ages (07-11).
English

My first three years following Creighton hoops they didn’t even qualify for the MVC Tournament. So I’ve witnessed “horrific.”
This is no doubt a down year, but it won’t be as hard to get it steered back in the right direction. Especially given how much it means to the community.
Ronald Head@RonaldHead1989
@mjdemarinis Can’t defend it anymore. This has been an absolutely horrific year for the program. It happens, but gotta keep the foot on the gas. Donor fatigue could make this hurt a lot longer than 25-26.
