Too many meetings! I have no issues with daily stand-ups. They’re good for updates, unblocking work and staying in sync. But there’re so many pointless and draining meetings. Most of them are a waste of valuable resources that could be spent elsewhere. How can this be prevented or improved?

we had a significant issue in ChatGPT due to a bug in an open source library, for which a fix has now been released and we have just finished validating. a small percentage of users were able to see the titles of other users’ conversation history. we feel awful about this.

I think that the real future of once the dust settles with the initial hype of LLMs and ChatGPT is with all B2B SaaS companies normalising the data they own from different sources in a way that is accessible to all different types of AI/ML. This started a few years ago with @getdbt & @AirbyteHQ - imo these guys are going to dominate

@SergioRocks I started generating talent @Sidetrade by creating a free bootcamp program. We take people from any background so long as they’re keen to learn, preferably with 0 or minimal experience then we go full-stack in four weeks using @Replit @supabase & @nextjs and our staff as tutors

Computer Science degrees are mostly obsolete, because they teach about how computers work. Software Engineering is about how people use computers, what they build with them, and how they collaborate over the internet. Thus, a CS degree is largely irrelevant for most SWEs.

At my direction, @SecYellen and my National Economic Council Director worked with banking regulators to address problems at Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. I’m pleased they reached a solution that protects workers, small businesses, taxpayers, and our financial system.
