On the afternoon of September 17, 2025, Thai soldiers armed with shields, batons, and weapons continued their incursions into Cambodia by firing tear gas, rubber bullets, and using sound-disrupting devices that damaged hearing, targeting Cambodian civilians in Prey Chan village, O’ Bei Choan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province. These actions caused injuries to several civilians, including Buddhist monks. The Cambodian armed forces, while strictly upholding the ceasefire, stood firm to protect the safety of our people. #CambodianeedPeace







On September 17, Minister of Information Neth Pheaktra said that Thai military forces used tear gas against Cambodian civilians. The incident took place in Prey Chan village, O Bai Choan commune, Ou Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, where Thai soldiers have continued to violate Cambodia’s sovereignty by expanding their encroachment on Cambodian territory.
